Pull apart the hood-and-loop fastener and position the wrap under your dog's belly. The adjustable elastic band should be toward your dog's head.Pull the straps around your dog, feeding the narrow strap through the buckle. Pull the strap down and secure the hook-and-loop fastener. Make sure the fit is snug, but not tight. Center the underside of the wrap, making sure his genitals are completely covered.Fine-tune the fit using the adjustable elastic band. Secure the excess elastic by folding the strip over and buttoning.To launder the wrap, secure the adjustable elastic bands and hook-and-loop fasteners. Wash the wrap separately in warm water on the gentle cycle and line dry.

Could this be used on a female dog for a post-surgery belly wrap?
- I would think as long as the edges of the incision are within the coverage area and not being rubbed by the wrap.

I've tried belly bands that close with wide pieces of velcro but they really snag my shih-tzu's tail! Does this type work well for a dog whose tail curls up over his back?
- You can always trim their tail to accommodate it.

Would it be possible to put a maxi pad or something inside the wrap for more protection from leaks?
- Absolutely! I have a miniature Schnauzer and use an xtra thick pad with the wrap, it work’s because I made it work.

- to me, his waist is where my hands would it above the joints for his legs and would encompass his urinary organ.

Is this product machine wash and dry?
- yes, but I recommend air dry for longevity and to keep the velcro intact longer. I also would "fasten" the velcro to launder so it doesn't attach to fuzz and debris.

my 17 yr. old 5 # Pomeranian (neutered male) has to wear a male wrap, due to frequent wetting in the house... but can wriggle out of it...I found the Vet's Best Perfect Fit ...which sounds like it would work well, but I need a liner that is really absorbent to put in it... What would you suggest? (that's affordable)?

Vivi wets the bed in her sleep pretty much every night. I've had her checked out by a vet, gotten blood work done, but everything appears to be normal. Hello, I have a 4-year-old, male, mixed breed (malamute/Rottweiler) with chronic preputial discharge. He has had tests done but the only thing that has shown up is an enlarged prostate. He is fixed as far as I know, with no visible testicles, however because he was a rescue, I have no history. I understand that discharge and enlarged prostates are only common in intact dogs, so this is very confusing and my vet can't figure out what's wrong. It does not seem to bother him but is very messy.
