When pets can't adapt to stress, it can lead to hyperactivity, abnormal urine marking, excessive scratching, trembling, pacing, excessive panting and destructive or aggressive behavior. The ingredients in Composure work synergistically to support relaxation without changing your dog's personality or energy levels. The Colostrum Calming Complex Biopeptide Blend supports stress reduction and cognitive function; L-Theanine helps the body produce other amino acids to bring specific neurotransmitters back into balance; and B vitamins (thiamine) affect the central nervous system to help calm anxious animals.

Our vet suggested Composure Soft Chews for one of our dogs. We recently adopted him and he's probably just over a year but acts like a hyper 6 month old puppy. Can we also use it for our 12 yr old dog that takes Prozac for anxiety during those extra stress times like trash day? She also gets Sileo Oromucosal Gel for thunderstorms. Thank you!
Is it safe to give calming supplements when my dog is already on Gabapentin? She takes 100mg Gabapentin for anxiety every 12 hours. She still gets very stressed when I leave and barks, howls, and scratches. Is it safe to combine with calming chews with ingredients like 100 mg Chamomile, 50 mg Thiamine Mononitrate, 50 mg Passion Flower, 50 mg Ginger, 30 mg L-Tryptophan, 20 mcg Melatonin? Or is there another safe calming chew you’d recommend? Pheromones have not worked. Ideally to be taken daily.
Can a 4 month old puppy eat a calming chew?
I think my dog ate maybe a 1/2 bottle of Petaxin Calm + Comfort Aid. Normal dose is 4 pills, so she may have had at least 15 doses.
I got this from chewy.com and need to know how much to give my dog and how often.
My 7 yr old dog has separation anxiety issues. My Veterinarian recommended trying OTC Melatonin 3mg. Can someone recommend a particular brand of OTC Melatonin to purchase? I'm afraid Xylitol made be an ingredient that is not disclosed on the package. I contacted Natures Made. I was told No Xylitol in the Melatonin.
Product recommendation pls: naturvet Omega gold plus salmon oil chews vs VetriScience derma strength every day health chews; pls see attached pics. Looking for Omega 3 supplement (chews). Nikki eats core wellness grain free ocean flavor. Being using VetriScience, her itchiness from unknown allergy hasn't improved. On the other hand, I would like to know where/how I can get cytopoint, asked my vet but they don't have it. Thanks !
Hi, Doctor, thank you for taking my question. I have a 13 yr old Maltese male and he is very aggressive to other dogs. My daughter will bring her Australian sheepdog puppy to our house on Thanksgiving. I'm thinking of giving my dog some organic hemp/valerian calming chews (hemp seed oil 125 mg & hemp protein powder 75 mg). Considering my dog's age, do you see any problem with that?
My mom gave chewy four strips of bacon without me knowing two uncook and two cooked one strip is 135 mg of salt so that 540 mg of salt he had, is that right? Anyways now I'm getting paranoid about chewy
Romeo has been dealing with bad anxiety. I gave him half of a calming chew by NaturVet Quiet Moments Plus Melatonin. Can these have side effects? Can it cause consipation or nausea? I’m just wondering if need to watch out for anything. They appear to be relatively safe based on reviews. I’m including the label.
My dog Dexter is a rescue and although I don’t know much about his medical history, I’ve noticed he might have some trouble with his skin. A vet on this site (thank you Dr. Elizabeth from the U.S.) recommended I start giving him omega 3 fatty acids. Is there an effective chewable vitamin that I can give him that I can get for under $30 on Amazon or Petco?
