Great stuff

This is an amazing product for many different issues from dry, itchy skin to cuts and abrasions and even some fungal & bacterial problems. It helps the skin to heal twice as fast as usual. I run a racing stable and pretty much just carry it around with me all morning.

Not what I expected

Haven't used it for long but thus far I can say a few things. 1- Its not a gel, its more water based and has a strong smell. 2- My cat doesn't like it at all. As soon as I sprayed it on him he started meowing and tried to run. He became skittish and whenever he sees the bottle he runs. 3- So far there's been no change but I'll update the review if it does.

No, I do not recommend this product.

My furry baby is an indoor cat mostly. I let him outside once a week to play in grass. I guess one time he must've been exposed to something and kept scratching the area by his chin. It eventually turned into a scab since scratching it so much. I picked thus item up last week and have been using it 2-3 times a day on the affected area. As of today it has all but disappeared. He doesn't scratch the area and he doesn't fight me when it's time to apply it lol This product does what it's designed to do. Also, saved a bit on vet visit.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My 2 indoor cats like to roughhouse which often means one or the other ends up with minor scrapes, which then become points of surface irritation, especially around the neck & shoulder region. As anyone with cats knows a minor scrape or scratch can become a major skin issue quickly, with vet visits & expensive treatment following to clear it up. Vetericyn Plus Wound Care (Hydrogel) quickly stopped my cat from scratching & re-opening his surface neck abrasion. (Please note: I say surface because I don't think this would suffice in care for any deep wound.) For surface abrasions & irritations this stops the pain & itch FAST! I used it as follow up after Vetericyn Wound Care. Also note: being a gel it does tend to clog the spray nozzle so I just put a dollop on some cotton wool & applied/dabbed onto affected area. Soothed it immediately!

Hydrogel Spray

MurphNTurf

I wish I would've bought this sooner! Murphy is a hard player and a little hunter that often winds up with all kinds of scratches from the brambles in the woods. His latest wound was a little scratch on his leg, and I figured I'd try this out and see how it goes. It healed beautifully and much quicker than I expected! He had been licking it like crazy before I put it on, and I thought he's keep licking after, but he left it alone! It must've felt better already once I sprayed this on. The gel stayed where I sprayed it and didn't rub off on any of his blankets from what I saw either. I love that this can be used on multiple animal species and isn't harmful if ingested (especially because Murph sometimes likes to lick his feet and legs, especially if he gets a scratch). This is definitely going to be a staple in Murph's first aid kit from now on!

Questions

Is this okay to use on my cats abscess? It already drained.

  1. Yes, it is safe to use on your cat abscess. If the abscess is still deep, tunneled, or irritated, we suggest using our Wound & Skin liquid. Once the affected area is closed and you are seeing healing start, you can switch over to hydrogel and wrap if its in an area that can be covered.

My senior cat has a bout of miliary dermatitis on the outside of his ears and top of his head not caused by fleas. Can this be applied to help the itch and to hopefully eradicate the scabby rash?

  1. Hi Jen4Kings. Our Feline Hydrogel will help relieve the itch and irritation caused by dermatitis. It will also protect and aid healing. For best results we recommend first using our Feline Wound Care liquid to clean the area and then applying the hydrogel to soothe and protect. We wish you and your cat the best!

Can this be used on an abscess that ruptured? If so do I need to wait till it stops draining to use?

  1. Yes, it can. As it is water based, you don't need to wait till it stops draining to use.

Will it help against ringworm

  1. Our Vetericyn Plus products work great to help address ringworm symptoms and can also help reduce itch and pain. We suggest using our liquid formula to clean the area and them following up with the hydrogel. Sometimes, ringworm can become severe enough that it requires medical attention by a veterinarian. Good luck!

Would this medication help with feline herpes?

  1. Thank you for your question. Our product can help topically with sores and irritation caused from Feline Herpes but it will not cure or treat the disease itself. Vetericyn Plus is a great solution to use to spray on the affected area to keep clean and reduce irritation.

About 1/4 through the bottle and the spray nozzle is all "gunked up" and nothing comes out. I cleaned with warm water and still no spray...any tips so i can actually use this and not waste it?

  1. Hi HCAZ7. We're sorry to hear you're having trouble with the sprayer. Please contact us directly at customerservice@innovacyn.com or call 866-318-3116. We'll be happy to help resolve this issue for you. Thanks!

This Vetericyn contains Sodium Hypochlorite, which is bleach. Why is that in this feline facial spray

  1. Probably because sodium hypochlorite is a great disinfectant and antimicrobial agent. Use google next time!

I just had my 8 mo old kitten declawed. Can I use this product on his paws?

  1. No, go to your vet.

I just had my 8 mo old kitten declawed yesterday. Will this help with his pain & healing?

  1. Hi elainehh69. Vetericyn Plus Feline Antimicrobial Wound & Skin Hydrogel can help optimize the wound healing environment by protecting and moisturizing the irritated area. The helps the healing process and can reduce the chances of potential infection. If you have any more questions, please email customerservice@innovacyn.com

Is this product safe to use on nursing cats who have kittens?

  1. You can use to cleanse off dried blood or treat a superficial, small, shallow, fresh wound. Must rinse off copiously and pat/blow dry on low heat prior to allowing kittens to nurse again. Kittens should not be exposed to the chlorhexidine or other ingredients in such products. Thank you much, ECC vet tech, neonate foster, client educator
