My dog has very elevated liver enzymes most likely from her diabetes. Her vet has recommended ursodiol for 30 days. He gave her a dose of 250mg once a day. However she weighs only 26 pounds. Is this dosage too high for her?
My dog has very high liver enzymes 224 alt and 1976 alkp. These are down from>2000 and 296 after denamarin twice a day. We are now adding ursodiol 1/2 250 mg pill twice a day. At 15 pounds this seems higher than the recommeded doses I have read. Your Thoughts?
Dahlia on Denamarin once daily 3 pills. What antibiotic would you recommend for bile duct problem or inflammation. What does Denamarin do for the liver

Following are the reports of her routine check-up. The vet has prescribed Ursodeoxycholic Acid tablets and Belamyl injection (vit B and liver extract). Is this fine? Are the levels very high? She has no symptoms, isn't lethargic and has normal appetite.
My 50 pound dog (3 years old, otherwise healthy) ingested two of my 2 mg estradiol pills. Should I be concerned? I was told to post with more detail because the concentration of the pills is important, but I'm not sure what that means in this context. The medication code is NDC 0378-1458-77 if that is helpful.
My female golden lab mix is 12. Vet prescribed Deramaxx 75 mg, give 1/2 tab a day. She's also taking Hepato Support for liver. I'm having $ problems paying for Deramaxx. However, Brandie is my baby. Is there a safe substitute for this NSAID?
Hi Dr kothman called in a prescription for doxycycline 100mg and 100 tablets I would like to compare the price that was called into our local HEB with your price.
Which tablet is good for dog fungal infection
My dog is prescribed vitofyllin 50mg and dose of 1.5 tablets twice daily. She weighs 13.8kg. Is that correct?
Can I break down a 250mg pill of Metronidazole for dosing a 2 to 3# puppy if they are to have liquid 12mg per 2# pup? I ask because I had a prescription from my vet and the cost was $44 for a 10 day supply, 40mg bottle, to dose 2 puppies. This was "compounded" by the only pharmacy in town that does this. I have other puppies that need treatment also, the littermates to these two. They are small breeds, Maltese and Chihuahua. Thank you so much!
My 12 year old Pekinese is visibly struggling with her joints. I was advised to put her on fish oil, but I can’t afford dog vitamins. According to some research I’ve done- she needs about 200mg per day. The human OTC fish oil pearls are 183mg each and humans take 3. Would it be safe to give my dog 1 of the human otc fish oil low dose pearls?
