Well-made but assembly instructions are awful

The instructions ARE AWFUL. Sure they're technical-looking but I'm STUCK on step #1. ☹ There's an exterior lock on the outside of the double doors (part D). So WHY does it need TWO locks in the inside?
The other kicker is that while the screws and bolts are bagged and labeled? it makes no sense HOW they're bagged. For instance, Locks #4 need to be screwed in with screws #5. One would think that 4 and 5 would be bagged TOGETHER. But oh no. 4 is bagged with washers #12 or something that will be used later on. It makes NO sense. The other parts are similarly bagged. 7 with 11. So I will have loose parts lying around until I get to that step.
The plus is that this thing is heavy and seems well-made. But I've had TONS of experience assembling things and am so tired of awful instructions.

I bought this for my Dalmatian however I underestimated how much room the Dal was going to need as an adult and so I had to return it. However it’s so cute and sturdy for someone that has a puppy or small dog. Easy to put together I would recommend
