I have a 22 year old Timneh African Grey parrot. I have used Harrison's pellets medium size in the past. It has been discontinued. My parrot won't eat the fine size and drops the large size into water. I need suggestions of what else to use.
I have an Indian ringneck parrot about six to seven weeks old and I used to feed him with handfeeding formula but now I think he is from up and so I think I should give him fruits and veggies so can you please name some of these which he can eat ??? My sun conure is 4 months old and has still not learnt to eat anything by himself he just throws the pallets if we keep inside his cage
We're wondering if there's anything we can do to improve her diet. Right now she is eating pellets (Zupreem, converting to Zupreem naturals), seeds, and we offer veggies every day despite her never really finishing them. We're now grinding up a Tums onto the food every day, as she was egg bound recently. We get 30-60 mins of time outside a day when possible, for sunlight. Any suggestions, or does this look fine? Thanks.
I handfeed my 7 1/2 week old cherry conure two times day morning & night. He eats seed, cereal, fruits & veggie on his own too. Can I stop formula now?
Is there a good high calorie supplement, vitamin or food that I can offer my seed junkie parakeet? She scored a poor body condition, was described as thin at her exam. Currently taking Metacam for an ouchy foot.
Is there any rule for feeding pigeon? I mean is there any body weight to diet ratio that needs to be followed? My pet pigeon is 3 years and it's weigh is 250 grams. Due to injuries his medication is going on. I need to feed him orally using liquid based solutions. Based on the body weight how much grams or milliliters of pigeon food shod I give using a syringe?
I have a pigeon who has stopped eating due to injuries. I want to feed him manually using a syringe. Can I use Cerelac as a solution to feed my pigeon ? If yes, what should be the daily quantity ? The weight of my pigeon is 250 gms and age is 3 years.
Can I give gruel to my Indian ringneck parrot.
My bird has switched to Lafeberās Daily Diet pellet food. She gained too much weight with the other food she was on. I noticed she is eating it, but itās turning into something similar to sawdust. She does seem to eat the dust though. I donāt know to give her more or not. Iām giving her 30cc of it a day. I donāt want her to get malnutritioned, but I donāt want her to gain weight. She needs to lose weight. What should I do? Should I have her eat the dust thatās left, or give her more pellets?
How do I know if my bird is eating enough
Can I take a shower with a Amazon Parrot? What temperature range water is safe? Do I need to give them a cuttle cone? What to chew one? How often do I have to take them for beak/wing/nail trim? What size cage? It would probably be out a lot because I am home most every day. Only gone on Fridays. I want a bird that can do almost everything with me and not too small. About a medium bird? Any recommend birds? Iāve never had a bird but I know a few people that have birds. Right food? (See pic) thx!
