I put on one frontline for puppys like 10 ago is it okay to now wash him with anti fleas shampoo.Can he get sick or something.Thanks

Hendrix has a small collar sore. I washed it yesterday with medicated dog shampoo (antibacterial + antifungal) and then I put a thin layer A & D ointment on it. I did the same today. My dog is a maltese/poodle and about 6 yrs. old. He was a rescue from PetCo. We are not active people being in our 70's and have med. conditions but he sometimes gets a run but usually a mild walk. He has been chewing at his front legs to where they are discolored. At his last grooming his eyes became irritated from the eyebrows being shaved too close and he kept rubbing them so I washed them with a boric acid solution made for humans. They seem better but still have the hard gunk on the edges.
