- No. You should only bath your pet once every 3-4 weeks

My dog has some sort of dermatitis and the vet recommended I get a shampoo with ketoconazole. Would this help with her problem? I don't think this has that. She has a fungal problem.
- TropiClean does not list ketoconazole as an ingredient in any of its products and therefore cannot verify its efficacy for dermatitis.

My bully mix has an itchy skin issue and I was hoping you could recommend a medicated shampoo. We have seen several vets and they have each recommended a different shampoo so I'm not sure what would be best. I would like something antifungal and antibacterial (Chlorhexidine?). I've been told Zymox, Duoxo, Henry Schein, and several others. What ingredients should I look for? I'm currently using Pharmaseb. Unfortunately I don't have any more money for vets now so this is my first line treatment.

Can you recommend a topical treatment for excessive itching for my black lab? We have no fleas, moisturizing shampoo from Petcoach store and a Vet visit that just saw dry skin. We have introduced omega 3 vitamins and reduced fat intake. Dramamine daily for 3 weeks now. Today flaky skin in sections and she was panting heavily at times for last 3 days. I have a two year old Shiba Inu with what I think is a rash or hot spot, we put the cone on so he would stop itching/biting, we starting bathing him with a medicated oatmeal treatment shampoo and we just changed his food and our laundry detergent as he has had a reaction before and that made it go away last time but the rash still looks awful. We are trying to avoid the vet because he has behavioral issues at the vet but is this something he needs medication or a shot for? Thank you

What kind of treatment can I use on my pups itch skin
My 10 yr old Shih Tzu has a skin condition (like myself - scalp) and I have a prescription for ketoconazole shampoo. I took it to his groomer to use on his last visit to see if it would help (I think it did), problem is - so much more has to be used on him than for me. My question is - is there a less expensive alternative for a dog. He gets these skin ulcers and 2 have ruptured - others have just dried up and leave a scaly film. Not sure what to do to help him.
