DIRECTIONS FOR USE FOR DOGS & PUPPIES (over 12 weeks) SHAKE WELL BEFORE USING. Do not use on puppies under the age of 12 weeks. Wet dog's coat thoroughly. Starting at the head and working back, work up a rich lather into dog's coat down to the skin. Do not get in dog's eyes. Allow lather to stand for 5-7 minutes, then rinse completely and towel dry. Repeat if needed allowing 2-4 hours between applications, not to exceed twice in 24 hours. A flea infestation includes eggs, larvae and adult fleas. For best results, perform consistent treatments for several weeks of your home and dog to ensure eradication of fleas at every lifecycle stage.

Didn't Work

We usually use this brand to wash our two dogs and have been happy with it, so we decided to try the flea and tick shampoo. It does a good job of getting the dogs clean, but doesn't do anything for fleas. We followed the directions, treated the yard and flea bombed the house and within one day, the fleas on the dogs were worse than ever. We were very disappointed. One of our dogs is easy to bathe (pit bull mix), but the other is a 2 to 3 hour project (Newfoundland). In the end, we went back to the flea shampoo that my family always used. I don't like using it on the Newf since he has sensitive skin, but the short term skin irritation from the shampoo is better than the long term irritation from the fleas.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Warm water soak before! 8.5 min duration used, wash hand(s) after applying, with minimal skin contact as possible. I got a minor chemical burn before from a different soap so switched to this one and less harsh smell. shower method used, not bath. Smell was amazing but still potent so have air running/open window. The fleas kept falling off and so many eggs. If your dog is a scrambler I suggest a prong collar or gentle leader/favorite treat method. Healthy habits for your puppy (I call all dogs puppies). My dog just chills now for showers but still doesn’t like them lol. My dog is still scratching because he was infested for months and our vet told us they didn’t find any. So I will be reapplying, while decontaminating my home and buying simparica trio for my GSD. Nexgard worked too before we switched him to credelio but that didn’t work on our puppy.

Yes, I recommend this product.

This is Just a Regular Dog Shampoo

This is the only place I found where I can let people know this does not work to get rid of fleas. I don't know how it can even be marketed as a flea shampoo. I washed my dog with it twice a week apart and still see fleas crawling around on him. I'm just using it between gel treatments but it seems like nothing but a regular dog shampoo.

I noticed a flea on my Cockapoo and purchase this an hour later. I was unsure how this shampoo would do because of some mixed reviews so I purchased another shampoo as back up. I'm sure they are different types of fleas and maybe this doesn't work on other types but in Northern Nevada, these fleas are killed on contact. I was amazed at how many it killed. Cockapoos have a lot of fur and with it being winter she does have a longer coat. I used a lot of product (probably more than was necessary), lathered the shampoo as much as possible, massaged it while I let it sit for about 10 minutes. The instructions stated 5-7 minutes but I wanted these things gone. I made sure to cover every area including her private parts, under her ears, chin (avoiding her eyes) and her underside. It was disgusting how many of them (dead) were falling off of her while I rinsed her especially on her underside. I also purchased a flea comb and used it to remove any remaining ones while my dog's fur was still wet. It seemed to work better removing them with the comb before I dried her fur. I highly recommend this flea shampoo. If you're unsure, make the purchase anyways. You won't regret it!

Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought this product under the suggestion of the team to get rid of mange on my new rescue baby. Didn’t work for the mites but left what hair she has left super beautiful and fluffy. Cleared the discoloration on her skin. Just didn’t clear the bugs. We went to the vet for her mites but will def keep the shampoo for her washes. All in all I’m happy with the products it wasn’t what we were looking for for a quick pre vet fix but def what she needs for regular washes.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I was unable to get it all off my cat before he freaked out, will it hurt him is he licks it?

How often can I use this? I have a 10 pound chihuahua/dachshund mix rescue. I don't think we have a flea problem at the moment but I want to bathe him so he smells good. What's recommended with this shampoo? Thank you.

    1. The shampoo works to kill fleas. I used it occasionally in between my dog’s  grooming appointment if he gets fleas (groomed every 10 was and used frontline flea treatment)). But if you want a nice scent I would get a conditioner that smells good.too.

Can you use this shampoo with a drop flea killer

    1. You can use this flea shampoo with a topical flea repellent, chew, or collar. It’s mainly a first attack on fleas as it will repel and kill as many fleas as it can, it’ll last about a day or so especially if the fleas are bad around you!

The description says dogs and cats. I have cats. Is this going to work for my cats? Thank you.

    1. Hi , The products can also be applied to cats. Thanks,
