SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE. For use in Home: Spray a small amount on an inconspicuous area to test for colorfastness. Spray the surface uniformly with a light mist until moist, avoid soaking. Spray on dog bedding and other areas that may be infested. Repeat as needed. For use on Dog: Stroke the dog's coat against the way it lays while lightly spraying entire coat including legs, tail, and stomach until the solution reaches the skin and it is damp, but not dripping. Do not spray in the face, eyes, or genitals. Repeat as necessary with 2-4 hours between applications, not to exceed twice in 24 hours. A flea infestation includes eggs, larvae and adult fleas. For best results, perform consistent treatments for several weeks of your home and dog to ensure eradication of fleas at every lifecycle stage. Avoid spraying bees and pollinating insects.

It's Garbage

03/31/24: I caught & picked a flea off my 13 week, 4 day old Morkie puppy the day before yesterday. Instead of ordering the flea & tick product from Chewy like my Vet recommended, I bought this from Petco yesterday. My bottle says it's for dogs & puppies 12 weeks and older. I followed the directions & applied this to my puppy. I'm not a fan of natural products. I find they either don't work or take forever to work making you spend countless dollars over time. But I just had to save money. In my case, this stuff is garbage. It changed the texture of my puppies coat. It gave it a wet dog look even though dry, made it more difficult to brush and no longer soft. I could live with that if it weren't for the fact that this stuff attracted every nearby flea to my puppy. Today I chased down & pulled 2 live & kicking fleas from my puppy. Then I saw a 3rd flea I couldn't seem to catch. Speedy little buggas. To the shower with the Dawn & her Burt's Bees puppy shampoo. The Dawn killed the flea I couldn't catch. I found it dead in the hair on the side of her nose. Then her puppy shampoo put the softness & fresh clean smell back in her coat. Brushing her is a breeze again. I immediately ordered the flea & tick product from Chewy like my Vet recommended. Natural definitely isn't best or worth it in my opinion. This bottle of garbage is going back to the store. The 1 star is because the citrus smell is tolerable.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Came Through in an Emergency

I called because it was the only location in the area per the website that had a large cage which I needed for a cat and her 4 kittens. The lady who answered was so pleasant and friendly. She immediately put me at ease. I asked if they did indeed have the item in stock, and she not only physically checked but she said she’d put it aside for me. I needed help loading the large box, and one of the other employees carried it for me to my car. (I clearly need to contact his trainer.) They went beyond all expectations, and they have a nice selection of items. I’ll be back, and I have 2 locations that are closer!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Can you use directly on puppies of 8-10 weekd

  1. I wouldn't use it on my 14 month old dog. The smell is horrendous. So strong. I used it on my mattress and used a fan and my HEPA filter to clear the air our. I live in a small studio and it's way too much. I was told lavender essential pure oil a dot on the halter, not on her will help keep these disgusting things off. I'm not letting her down until it starts to snow. Have never let her in the grass and this place was infected. I bathed her in Dawn and used conditioner. Got her cut in a puppy cut so I can see anything unusual on her. Had my other baby for 15 years let her on the grass to play and never once found a flea or a tick, never gave her any chemicals for this. I have baking soda and salt sitting on the baseboards where the carpet meets the walls with little dead things. Only one part of my apartment. My little one and I are sleeping on a small mattress away from that area. I'm going to try to put a new cotton cover on the memory foam full bed and move it to a different part of the room. This is a nightmare. BTW she smells this stuff and is not enjoying it.. STRONG SMELL. Don't get me wrong, I've been using Tropiclean puppy shampoo for 15 plus years on my beautiful pups. Now one more time with Dawn, just in case and then back to Tropiclean puppy shampoo and conditioner separately It's a great shampoo, but why such a horrendous strong smell? Tropiclean?

Is this product able to be used on hardwood floors?

Can this be sprayed directly on dogs?

    1. If you do use directly on pets, better to spray it on a brush and brush it through coat, still avoiding genitals and face. you may want to wipe lightly inside ears then start applying from neck. Better yet just get topical flea treatment for pet and use this only on surfaces. Vacuum often and take out what you vacuum or fleas will escape vacuum. I have bagless so I dump and take outside immediately when done vacuuming. Do all this for 3 months and you should break the cycle

Is this product safe to use around my three year old son?

    1. Hello and thank you for your inquiry. We would recommend the general precaution of keeping the product away from children. Regarding use of the product, we would recommend after using the product to allow it to completely dry before allowing children back into the treated area. In the unlikely event of an allergy, treat based on symptoms. Please consult and review the ingredient list with your pediatrician before use if any uncertainty about use of the product exists. We hope this information helps!

Is this product safe to use on areas used by humans like couches and beds? The smell is strong and it has given me a headache.

    1. Thank you for your inquiry. This product is safe for use on couches and beds when used as directed. We would advise moderation of use if you or your pet have sensitivities. We hope this information helps!

Is this safe to use in a room with guinea pigs and birds?

    1. We would recommend reviewing the ingredient list of this product with your veterinarian before starting use of this product around these animals.

No question. Please remind Kero86 not to spray on his cat; not recommended because of their grooming habits.

    1. Reminder: TropiClean does not recommend the direct application of our flea and tick products on cats due to their sensitivities and grooming habits.

Is this safe to use on carpet, couches, blankets, etc. when a puppy is only 9 weeks old (not on the puppy but in the house instead)?

    1. Yes, this would be safe although we would advise to allow for the spray to dry before allowing the puppy on the treated surfaces.

Can this safely be sprayed directly on cats? Everyone is mentioning dogs. I have three cats and a bath is not an option.  Please help

    1. TropiClean does not recommend this product for direct application on cats due to their hypersensitivities and grooming habits. Our apologies.

Is it safe to use when children are in the home? How long should kids wait to be reintroduced to treated areas?

    1. This product is safe to be used around children when used as directed. We would recommend children be allowed access back into areas after the product has dried.
