Pup didn’t like the taste :(
I really wanted this to work because it was minty and I feel like other toothpaste don’t really have a fresh cleaning scent towards it. My pup dreads this, she doesn’t like the taste of the mint and briskly walks away. If your pup can tolerate it though, I’m sure it is effective!! It does have a certain chemical odor to it….I saw someone else’s review mention the same which just affirms my observation.

Good but funny watching
Watching my long-haired chihuahua working to get this gel off his teet is makes me laugh but, in doing so, he brushes his teeth clean. Put small amount on each tooth so his licking does the cleaning. Within 7-10 days, they're much cleaner. Then I do it 2x/week to keep them clean. He loves the peanut butter taste. Used it for several years

My dog hates it
I thought this would be a good alternative to tooth brushing but my dog hates it so much, he runs and hides if I even open the bottle. I will definitely have to return this.

SMELLS LIKE CHEMICALS
I bought this by recommendation from my dog groomer (peanut butter flavor). It does not smell like peanut butter? I’m very confused. It smells like harsh chemicals. I took a video of my dog smelling the bottle and she made a disgusted face, I wish I could upload the video but this review only allows photos. I’m returning it. I would never put this in my dogs mouth...

Didn’t work for my puppy
I got this because it was recommended by the Petco groomer to help with my puppy’s breath but unfortunately it didn’t work. My puppy had really awful breath due to his stool-eating and brushing wasn’t cutting it. The minty smell of this made his breath smell worse. Like stale gum trying to cover up bad breath. I gave it 2 stars because it’s easy to use but not very effective for freshening breath. I found a water additive that did the trick.

Mint flavor
I purchased the mint flavor and have had trouble applying the product because my dog does not like the smell. He runs as soon as the product is opened so I have not been able to use daily as the product suggests. The peanut butter flavor may have been a better option.
