I bought this (after searching in the 'dog' area) , It helps with small tangles, but we have long haired cats with large knots that seem impervious to it (ever try spraying on a cat's fur?? it's easier to give mine pills than to spray anywhere on them :-)

$ lost! Would take it back to store but store is far away. My cat does not like to get sprayed but got her sprayed good once. Did not work. Now when she sees it she runs. So put on paper towels and the smell drives her away.

I bought this around 2 weeks ago and it didn’t remove any tangle and just left my maltipoo sticky, had to bath him afterwards because it was so sticky.

Is this product guaranteed to work on cats with some "stubborn" matted fur? I tried to use clippers on him first & the sound freaked him put! I also heard this product was being discontinued as recently told to by a Petco store employee, is this true?
