New puppy was chewing on our rugs. We had purchased a different bitter spray product for our first dog many years ago, but it never worked and we weren't counting on this one making much of a difference. This one absolutely stopped the destruction! It does have a scent, to me it smells light and herbal, only vaguely medicinal, but it also burns the back of my throat and makes it uncomfortable to breathe after applying. We now only apply it when we won't be in the room for several hours after, although the irritant permeates the rest of the house quickly. So I'm giving this four stars, because it definitely works, but it'll make you feel like you gassed your house.

The TropiClean Chew Stop Dog & Home Spray is designed to protect your home and teach your pets better habits and stops Unwanted Licking, Chewing, and Scratching. It is flavored sour, bitter, and spicy so your pet won’t like it. We have a high anxiety husky mix who loves to eat everything when she’s alone so I was excited to get this spray. So far so good and she doesn’t seem to like the taste on anything we spray it on.

Great product that helps to prevent animals from chewing things they shouldn’t. I have two dogs and three cats so destruction can occur quickly in my house, but this is helping to curb some of the bad behaviors!

I have a 7 month old pup. She was chewing all the books i had on my table. I sprayed the ones she was chewing as qell as the ones she hadnt gotten to yet. It worked!. She has stopped chewing books. Packaging is nice on it. Does have a bitter taste(yes i did). No smell to it. At least none I can smell. Worked great

It started innocently enough—just a bottle of “tropical scented but spicy” anti-chew spray from Petco. Our dog had recently discovered a passion for artisanal window sill chewing, so we figured this would be the cure. Spray one: “Hmm… smells strong.” Spray two: cough “Wow, that’s… potent.” Spray three: THE DEVIL HAS ENTERED MY LUNGS. Suddenly, my eyes were Niagara Falls, my lungs were on fire, and I was clutching the counter like a Victorian woman with “the vapors.” My husband, ever the hero, ripped the bottle from my hands. “Let me do it. I’m a man,” he said. Spray four. Spray five. He crumpled like a Victorian woman too. Snot and tears everywhere. We staggered out of the house, gasping for air, while Izzy sat in the corner laughing at us. We opened every window so the dogs wouldn’t call in a hazmat team. On the plus side, our dog hasn’t touched the sill again—probably because it’s now a federal disaster zone. One star. This isn’t dog deterrent spray. It’s a weapon. I gave it 3 stars because it does actually work to keep the dogs away from the window sill, but there was no warning to spray it and then run.

Really good product! It really works! I sprayed it on my couch after my dog began to chew on it and they immediately stopped doing it. It didn't stain the fabric nor leave a smell. I highly recommend this for naughty pups that need correcting.

I received these products for free from the Spotted by Petco sampling program in exchange for my honest review. I was excited to try the TropiClean Chew Stop on my dog Finn. He has a spot that he licks and from time to time he causes the area to become inflamed. So far, this product has curbed the licking! I like that it’s a good sized bottle and it’s sprays easily and it comes out in a wide mist. Also, the smell is relatively pleasant and if I get it on me, it does not linger on my skin after washing. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that my husband finds the scent to be strong and can smell it on Finn from several feet away until he “airs” out.

Time will tell on this no chew spray. This seems to be deterring my little angel/devil from chewing. Nothing as worked so far. I have tried everything from bitter apple to hot pepper sauce which he seemed to love. I hope this will work
