Use saltwater prepared with Tropic Marin Pro-Reef for regular water changes in your saltwater aquarium, to start a new aquarium and to restore pH balance in an existing aquarium. To achieve a salinity level of 32-35%. (psu), dissolve 35 ml (approx. 37-40 g / 1.3-1.4 oz.) of Tropic Marin Pro-Reef for every liter or 0.5 cup (approx. 140-150 g) for every US-gallon of water in a container, circulating continuously. The resulting seawater is ready for use as soon as the salt is completely dissolved and the solution is clear. The specific gravity of the sea salt solution should be 1.025 to 1.027 at a temperature of 25 degreeC / 77 degreeF. A weekly, partial water change, replacing 10% of the total water volume with saltwater prepared with Tropic Marin Pro-Reef, will help to maintain the water quality that your livestock needs for good health.

If the product gets into your eye please rinse consistently with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if wearing and continue rinsing.

Tests of a variety of commonly used salts show that tropic marine’s salts are the most consistent from 1st scoop to the last scoop at bottom of bucket.

IF this is Tropic Marin Reef salt then it is great. Love the product. What I received is what I assume to be a bag of salt in a cardboard box with no label or anything telling what it is or what brand it is. Horrible service from Petco. I would recommend the product. I would not recommend anyone buy it from Petco.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Excellent salt. Dissolves fast and no residue. I’ve been using this in a 1,000 gallon setup since 2008.
