High levels of phosphates and organic pollutants promote unwanted algae growth and compromise health of aquarium inhabitants. Tropic Marin Elimi-Phos Longlife granules are a very effective way to remove both phosphates and organic pollutants in saltwater and freshwater aquariums. Phosphates become so strongly bonded to the Elimi-Phos Longlife granules that it will never be released, even after the full adsorption capacity of the granules is reached.

Place 100 g/3.5 oz. of Tropic Marin Elimi-Phos Longlife per 50 gal. of total aquarium system water volume into the tank and position it in the filter or other area of strong water circulation. It is always a good idea to make any changes in your aquarium environment slowly. If the organic load of the aquarium is very high, start with 100 g (3.5 oz.) Tropic Marin Elimi-Phos Longlife per 130 gal. of system volume and slowly increase to the above recommended maximum. This will give your more sensitive plants and animals a gradual introduction to this beneficial change in water quality. In order to ensure the best possible performance of the granulate, it should be mixed up and rinsed briefly under running water once a week. Tropic Marin Elimi-Phos Longlife can remain in the aquarium even after their adsorption capacity has been reached. When the phosphate level in the aquarium starts to increase again, replace the Tropic Marin Elimi-Phos Longlife according to the dosage table above.
If the product gets into your eye please rinse consistently with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if wearing and continue rinsing.

Hello. My cat is at about stage 3 renal failure. Her phosphorus level is quite high. Have repeatedly tried renal foods but very difficult to get her to eat it. I have read that aluminium hydroxide, Alu-Cap brand name, can be quite effective at lowering phosphorus levels. Do you have any first hand knowledge of this please? Thanks very much for your time.
