1 level measuring spoon increases the strontium level of 10 gallons by about 2 ppm. The natural concentration of seawater is 8 ppm. In a reef aquarium the concentration of strontium decreases quickly through biological processes, precipitation and by the use in calcareous animals. A basic dosage of 1 level measuring spoon per 50 gallons every two weeks is recommended. In an aquarium with a high population, the dosage can be as much as 1 level measuring spoon per 50 gallons each week. High strontium concentrations in the aquarium may damage corals. Always be sure to monitor the strontium concentration with a Strontium Test.

I’m trying to cycle a 10 gal fish tank. I have been adding your biological booster for a month now and nothing is happening. The ammonia is holding steady at .5 ppm and I’m not seeing any nitrites. Is there a way I can test to see if there are actually live bacteria in the booster. I’ve checked everything else I can think of.

Also am changing some if not all water every few days. Treated with kanaplex several doses no real improvement. Switzed to metroplex in water treatment as I don't know how food treatment works or how to dose started four doses two days apart and there is some improvement to the eyes. Med is miconidazole.
