Seems like a quality product for the price. Some reviews say it's hard to assemble... If you've ever put together Ikea furniture, this one is easy. Only problem with the directions is the pictures are kind of small and the directions are basically the pictures. Hopefully our kitties will take to their new bathroom :)

Great Looking, Not easy Instructions
I read other reviews so I knew the instructions were not easy to read and I agree completely. You would need some experience putting together this type of furniture. Only took 20 minutes to put together. I loved the litter box once it was together.

Great choice!
I purchased this Pet House to avoid having litter and litter dust all over and yes - it works wonderfully - with two recently adopted kittens it's a huge help - I will share though that it was a little challenging to put together - not a one person project - but once together it's a great piece of furniture - I placed it in a good sized closet and use the top to store their bowls and food -

What are the internal dimensions for each cavity? I have automated litter boxes, but I'm not sure if this will be big enough..

What is the weight limit on this? Is it sturdy enough to add extra shelving on top for storage?
- It's not super sturdy so I would say no. You can store a few items on top, but if you put too much weight on it, the top bows slightly and then the doors won't open.

After unit is already assembled, how difficult would it be to switch which sides the opening is on (or is it not advised)? I wouldn’t want taking it apart to cause any damage.
- You cant switch which side the opening is on nor can you switch which way the door swings.

Is this sturdy enough to sit on? It'd be great in my breakfast nook in place of a bench I was going to build.
- You can sit on it yes, but it isn't super sturdy. Meaning a lightweight person who is fairly gentle with it could use it.
