got 2 kitties 1 is 22 lbs other is 8, they need a window seat, I live way out in the country no shops, last 1 I bought was lousy, do you know of a good one, thank you so much for your time
I am going to purchase a cat bed for my cat soon, I wanted to take a proffesional's advise on where to place my cat bed (please look at attached photos). My cat's favourite place to nap and relax is either the bed or the cat tree, recently the bed more. When shes not napping, she spends time at the kitchen window watching birds and people walking. Otherwise she's playing and running around with her toys.
My kitten likes to scratch my wooden chair, doors,and occasionally the door frames. I bought her a wooden cat scratcher with catnip and all she does is bite, sleeps, and lays on it. Do you have any recommendations on what would be a good scratching post? Sisal rope, Sisal carpet, and etc?
Hi there! I just brought home a 12 week old kitten and she has adjusted well in just 1 week. She currently sleeps in our bed with us. Due to some mild allergies, we are thinking of sectioning off a space for her in the entrance and hallway at night for her to sleep in. Our apartment doesn’t have any doors and our living room and bedroom is one room (studio apartment). She would have access to the room during the day up until bed time. Is this ok to do? Or would it cause any trauma/issues?
Hello, A week ago, I adopted a cat called ‘Taffy’, and I am really concerned about her behavior. Most of the time she is under the bed, but at night she could come and sit with us for a couple of minutes and then go back. She just comes out from under the bed when I come to give her food. I have been advised to prevent her from going under the bed and keep her in a reachable place. Unfortunately, I have been trying to block her way but, everytime, she manages to find her way under it. My cat’s got a cat tree that’s 2m tall. She sleeps on the highest bit. Her food bowl is on the second highest level. And her water fountain is on the floor. She doesn’t play with the tree or outside of it at all. she only climbs it to sleep and eat. She was a bit overweight before she got the tree and now I’ve noticed she’s lost weight she looks more fit. Could the weight loss be simply because she’s been having to climb to sleep and eat?

new 2 yr old cat Had for 4 days, first in bathroom with all toys and trinkets. She got out peed on rug in hallway, ran under bed in bedroom so I moved stuff there and she was bet. Got fellway. Took to spca vet who diagnosed cat flu. Two problems 1. Wont come out from under bed since disaster try to give liquid med this am. So I took in a stray that is at least five years old and has rather obviously had it rough. I am keeping him segregated and also set up a cat condo for him in said room, which he tends to stay in, sleeping (the condo, I mean). I bought him this nice, plush self warming bed that he is absolutely rejecting. Seriously, he'd rather sleep on bare floor than this bed. But he'll rub on it and lean against it to sleep. Why does my guy hate his bed? *note, I have provided him with soft blankets he loves.

Hello, We adopted a 7 year-old cat about 6 weeks ago. Since we brought her home, she has been hiding under a bed, coming out only to eat, drink, and use the litter box. She sometimes plays with a couple of toys, but she still runs back under the bed if someone enters her room. Yesterday, we moved her food to another room to see if she would look for it, but she did not as of this morning. We have played soft music and tried talking to her. What else can we do?
Hi! We have this cat room (pictures attached) because they don't get along with Pharah. Is the cat room okay? We can't really afford any cat "furniture" right now or the doggy gates so we have a long chair in front. Dog doesn't go there and cats can still see the living room. Is the placement of food (on top of the table) and litter (under table next to each other) good? Should we add more things to the room? Also they only go out of the room when dog is away, like walks.
