Good Dog House
We bought these to replace the same ones that weathered outside for 3 years. Overall we were happy with old ones. Hoping these will be the same. Only issue so far is the product was damaged (broken bottom piece) in box. Petco is working on replacing for us.

Great for medium sized dog
It say large but is more for medium size dog my 55 lb staffy will not step foot to hard for him to turn around but my blue heeler loves it !

Very cute

Okay but not great
We bought this after doing some reset for our German Shepard puppy. She is 5 months old and weighs 55lbs. She fits in it perfectly now but I doubt she will still fit in it comfortably when she is fully grown. We bought it because it said it's for dogs her size (adult, fully grown). It was easy to put together. The material is lightweight. It doesn't seem to be very sturdy. All on all, it is an okay dog house but we probably wouldn't buy it again.

Solid and Easy!
It took me less than an hour to put this together. Great quality, I am very happy with my purchase! We bought the large for our Aussie, she will be about 50 pounds when full grown. This house is the perfect size for her. I put it outside on our covered back patio.

What is the overall weight of the XL Trixie Dog House?
- I already put mine together awhile back, so don't know the entire weight. It is not hard to assemble. The roof is the heaviest. Entire weight should be in the description. I recommend treating with a water sealer (easy and inexpensive ) on the underside of the roof. I actually did the whole dog house easily. I actually improvised by taking some of the boards off (easily done) to be a go between from the doggie door in my house to the outside-works well. It is a very nice looking house.

Does it have to be put together or does it come already assembled
- It has to be put together, which didn't take more than 20 minutes. The floor broke in mine after several months. My dog weights 40 pounds. If your dog weighs more, I would get a different one or put some wood blocks under the floor of this one.

does the trixie flat roof need an insolation kit? is it warm in the winter with just a padded liner?
- It's pretty thin wood. If you live in a cold climate, get the insulation kit.
