Working out nicely

Perfect size, exactly what I was looking for. Only thing I would recommend would be to brace the sides as you install the screws so your box aligns well

Yes, I recommend this product.

Complete waste of money

I bought this product a few weeks ago for my two rescue pigeons. Out of the box it became apparent the wood was flimsy. On putting it together, the pre-drilled holes were so out of alignment I had to make new ones. Screws when fully inserted went through all pieces of wood and left sharp points sticking out on the inside. The ramp from the run to the main quarters was warped, twisted to the point that the glued on wood slats used as footholds had popped off. The two roof parts fit so badly there is a 1/4" gap between the main house and run, and the last thing was the floor pan that sits in the main enclosed housing area between the nesting boxes and the ramp/run. It was melted and so warped it was unrecognizable. When I opened the packages I actually thought that it was part of the protective packaging, for that to happen I hate to think how the boxes were stored before purchasing/shipping :( Sorry PetCo this gets my very first bad review. Don't waste your money on this product.

No, I do not recommend this product.

We have looked at a number of chicken coops and this one fit our needs and our budget. It's smaller than it looks in the picture, so just make sure you look at the measurements so you know what you are getting. I would say this coop would accommodate two chickens at the most and there are only two private areas for nesting. I was concerned this would be hard to put together, but it was a breeze. Best assembly instructions I have ever seen in a product like this. It's definitely a two person, job though. It took us about an hour and a half to put together. The door latches are a bit flimsy so that's why we give this four points rather than five. Once assembled this is a very attractive coop and seems very sturdy.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Not What We Thought

This chicken home is much smaller than we thought it would be. It is a great design and has nice features, but the parts are falling apart and the latches are not even a month old and they are rusting. We have four chickens- two are small and two are bantam sized. They are cramped in the space and we need to add on immediately. The nesting box is not divided so they have no privacy. I would suggest buying a better one, but you can't go wrong with this price.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Can rats live in there?

  1. The Flat Roof Chicken Coop with Outdoor Run could certainly accommodate small animals. The mesh the encloses the structure measures approximately 5" x 5". Thank you!
