I want to crate train my 1 year old dog. I bought a "medium" crate for her , shes 25 lbs - aussie/dashund mix so shes kind of long shaped. The measurments on the box are for a dog even taller/wider than mine... but the crate doesnt really seem big enough for her to turn around in (unless she kind of squirmed up into a circle). Do you think I need to buy a larger crate? Why does the size on the box say its good for the dog's size.. / ?
I have a 6 months old german shepherd puppy. Weather here at night goes down to 6 degrees Celsius... She sleeps outdoors in her spacious and thick wooden house with a blanket inside.. The house has one small window.. We keep the door semi open at night... Is that enough for her 6 months age? Or should i completely close the door? What size crate should I purchase for an adult German Shepherd I am planning to adopt?
I have a dog house with carpet over front entrance and a heated pet pad I bought from a hardware store. It seems warm and the 8 month old beagle goes in it but how cold is to cold for a four hour length outside while I work? He seems happy and the pad feels warm when I test it.
So my dog keeps peeing in her kennel. I have started making more frequent potty breaks and that has helped some. But she still has accidents about twice a week. So I have thought about getting her a smaller kennel. She is in a 42’’ wire kennel. She can lay in a ball in the corner of it and not take up much room. She is too tall for a smaller kennel. What should I do? Also she had had all her bloodwork done and nothing is wrong. She is 30’’ tall and 30’’ long.
