got 2 kitties 1 is 22 lbs other is 8, they need a window seat, I live way out in the country no shops, last 1 I bought was lousy, do you know of a good one, thank you so much for your time
I've moved and to get my cat acclimated I've decided I'm going to crate him while we are working. The crate i have is 42"x28"x30", with a dual level. Will this be enough space for my cat? He is 14y/o, and will be crated for 6-8 hours 5 days a week for a few weeks, until he gets used to the area. Of course he'll be inside the house, and let out in the evenings and sometimes for a bit on lunchtime.
Is it necessary to have cat tree in my house? Will it keep my cat from hiding under furniture? And how to keep her stays at home, i am soo nervous about letting my cat outside her cage sometimes, cause my house is pretty big and has lots of doors she's around 3 months old, i just adopted her for 2 weeks.
My kitten likes to scratch my wooden chair, doors, and occasionally the door frames. I bought her a wooden cat scratcher with catnip and all she does is bite, sleeps, and lays on it. Do you have any recommendations on what would be a good scratching post? Sisal rope, Sisal carpet, and etc?
Will my 6 month old kitten grow out of playing in her litter box? It's so unsanitary. We got her a tower recently that she doesn't even touch, plus lots of boxes for her to play in. How can I get her to use cat tower more? Feliway doesn't seem to work.
She lives in an nic grid cage with 3 levels (floor, 2nd ground-35cm off ground. And 3Rd ground-70cm off ground). Should I take them out after she is spayed whilst she recovers? Or is it not necessary
Gibbs my new 1yr old cat, he's familiar with the pink round platform ball trackor on the left. Because he had one to play with at the Northshore Animal League. At 1st he's would pounce the scratch not understanding he could scratch it as well, until I pour a little catnip on it..its organic, but wondering if it's alright brand? Or if there is a better idea to help him also understand vertical scratch post as well. as you can see he understands, he's not grasping vertical post besides walls/sofa
Female kitten pees with butt up high Pees outside covered deep litter box
Scruff ( 3 months, previously feral) female kitten. I went out and spent over $100 On Dr. Easleys litter, and Feliway diffuser. My questions are: 1. How do I get her out from under the bed, and comming into the other areas of the house. Do I play with her in the bedroom, or not, so she will come out? I have been told to interact with her in the bedroom until she is less shy,and to not interact with her in the bedroom, so she will have to come out. Also, she is not using the litterbox.
Hi there! I just brought home a 12 week old kitten and she has adjusted well in just 1 week. She currently sleeps in our bed with us. Due to some mild allergies, we are thinking of sectioning off a space for her in the entrance and hallway at night for her to sleep in. Our apartment doesn’t have any doors and our living room and bedroom is one room (studio apartment). She would have access to the room during the day up until bed time. Is this ok to do? Or would it cause any trauma/issues?
Hi! We have this cat room (pictures attached) because they don't get along with Pharah. Is the cat room okay? We can't really afford any cat "furniture" right now or the doggy gates so we have a long chair in front. Dog doesn't go there and cats can still see the living room. Is the placement of food (on top of the table) and litter (under table next to each other) good? Should we add more things to the room? Also they only go out of the room when dog is away, like walks.
I am planning to take my cat with me to my daughters house over Thanksgiving. It is a 3 hour drive and then a new house etc. I bought a cat play pen some Feliway a small cat tree and will take some items that have her scent. How do I introduce her to this new environment?
