The TRIXIE Casta Cat Tree will provide endless opportunities for cats to play, explore, scratch or just relax. Felines can sharpen their claws on any of the three scratching posts instead of on your furniture or carpet, giving them a healthy outlet for their scratching instincts. All posts are covered in durable sisal. For a nap or a cozy retreat, the cat can crawl inside the cat condo base. Spunky cats can jump, climb or perch atop one of the platforms and lie in wait for unsuspecting prey or simply enjoy the view. We've also included a dangling plush toy and rope for added fun. Dimensions (Inch): 22 x 14 x 37; posts 3. Weight: 18 pounds.
- - Removable ring-shaped bed can be used separately
- - Wrapped in soft plush and natural sisal
- - 2 removable/reversible cushions
- - Platforms with extra padding

Questions
Can the bottom barrel/cave be used separately? And are the materials and construction safe for a parrot? I’d like to use this for my small Solomon Islands Eclectus Parrot’s nest. Thanks.
- Hello, this item is designed for cats so we cannot say how well it would work for a parrot. We also cannot recommend using the cave separately as this is not how the item is designed. Thank you for your question.

Would this be good for a 17lb cat?
- Hello Trigger101: This cat tree is meant for young cats 10 pounds and under. The dimensions of this cat tree may be a little small for one that big. The opening to the cave is 7", the top bed is 12", the second bed is 19x12". We do, however, have several cat trees that do accommodate larger cats such as the Lucano; Item #2833495, the Giada Item #2945147, The Baza Giant Item 2833524. Hope these help. Thank you for your question.

does the hanging toy contain catnip? I was told that kittens shouldn't play with catnip before they are 3 or 4 mos. old.. My kitten is 2mos and loves it
- Hello crosby16: No, this toy does not contain catnip. Thank you for your question.

How wide in diameter is the entrance to the "condo"?
- I believe the recap says it's 18 inches. I can tell you my cat is very large and she has ample room to get in and out of it and more than enough room when she's laying down inside of it. I have bought so many things that turn out to be only large enough for a kitten, in my opinion, but this is most certainly not one of them.
