Took off 1 star because one of the screws in the package wasn't correct - luckily I had the old post and took the screw from that to use. I will keep buying this post because my cats love it. They have other scratchers in the house but prefer the sisal on this one the most. They love hanging out on this post and especially love the hammock. I wish it wouldn't get so dirty so fast but it can't be helped when you have 3 cats. My last one lasted almost 2 years and got a lot of use.

My cat loves this!! He especially uses two things the middle hammock and all the scratching posts. He does get on the top but lays in the hammock every day. watches me while I am cooking from that. There are lots of pieces to this but easy to follow the sizes to put together.

It may work depending how aggressive your cat is when it climbs and runs. We have multiple cats in the house some are heavier and they are ok with it. But if you can I would opt for a more sturdier option to be on the safe side. - Linda

What is the level above the cave, below the hammock? It doesn't look big enough for a cat to lay there.

Hello Kari W: Thank you for your question. You can use this for a cat up to 12lbs. The top bed is a 19x10 The hammock is a 13.5" circle The entrance into the cave is a 6.5x7" and inside the cave is 11x12" Hope this helps. Thank you again.
