10 lb. Dog may have swollowed a 100 mg pill of trazodone
Duration of Effectiveness of Terazadone My Bernedoodle is 3 years old and weighs 65 pounds. I have 100mg terazadone pills for him from our vet. We are going on a 5-hour road trip, but he gets anxious in the backseat of the car. Looking for advice as to how much terazadone I should give him i.e., 100 or 150 mg, and will the single dosage administered an hour before we hit the road be enough to keep him calm until we reach our destination.
I would love if a vet could check and verify that these two drugs are comparable. I’ve had a dog overdosed in the past by a vets prescription so I just want a second opinion. 42lb extremely high energy was given both gabapentin 300mg and trazodone 50mg to take concurrently. I see they can increase symptoms when given together in humans. Is this safe for a puppy?

71 lb lab/pit mix spayed 9/5 three days later she became extremely aggressive towards me. Took her to emergency vet who would only look at her through the crate due to her aggressiveness. My dog has all of a sudden showed aggression , anxiety and depression . He was neutered and always treated with respect and love . It’s been a month since he’s been neutered and is on Trazodone . My vets also advised to get him on Prozac from now on . My question is : can I give Trazodone and Prozac together ? Or stop Trazodone and start Prozac ? He takes 50mg Trazodone every day at night after meal . Please advise me . PS He’s been checked by vets and no medical issues . Just behaviour only
