I had my cat spayed Saturday i noticed she has licked her incision a little bit i bought a collar but she fought till shw had it kicked off with her back feet do uhave any suggetions
Sore on my cats neck
My white short hair cat has a sore area on her neck underneath her chin. It is approx 5cm round, hairless and has a red margin that is weeping slightly. She does not appear to be licking it. She is an indoor cat but escapes occasionally for short periods. We have another indoor cat too.
What's wrong with my cats neck?
I recently purchased the Pulvex tick and flea collars for my cats. I prefer the collar over the drops because they immediately run out and brush it off in the sand- not good for white cats especially. However, my cat tends to lick her collar while grooming herself. I cut off any excess collar and made a reasonable tightness but she can still reach it. She doesn't seem to be reacting to the collar is terms of skin irritability. Does "pet friendly" mean safe for occasional licks or is it harmful?
Our kitten had this scab for about less than 2 weeks and there was no way to remove it. I couldn’t see it, only feel it and it kept getting bigger by the day. So I was just able to with a baby wipe and observe her and noticed she’s missing a patch of hair and it’s pink under her jaw. I’m not sure if an older cat attacked her or if it’s something more serious. They’re on flea treatment (no fleas) and deworming medication (1 cat had roundworms somehow). Indoor cat only. Ragdoll/Maine Coon mix.
I have an indoor cat, about 9 months old. This bump with a little red mark in the center appeared today. I'm not sure if it's just a pimple, scratch mark, or something more serious like ringworm.
My cat has these wounds on her neck, and she keeps scratching it, I don't know what to do about it, it's getting worse, how can i treat her?
SKIN ISSUE: My cat is liking her tummy excessively, and scooting on the floor. I treated her for worms and fleas thinking that was the problem but her skin is warm and pink with a few irritated areas (see pic). Her hair there has thinned, I shaved it to see the issue better. I've got an e-collar on her to stop her licking and biting, I've cleaned the area with witch hazel and have been treating with itch & hot spot spray. QUESTION: Is this a hot spot or something more?
Former stray, female 7-ish year-old cat with bald patches on right flank, lower stomach, and lower leg due to over grooming/ fur mowing. On reduced ingredient/ low allergen dry food and she wears a soft collar/cone to deter licking. We need to know what to do about her sores, we've tried anti-itch spray and an antibiotic ointment but she licked both off (despite the cone). Thank you.
Loved the idea of 8- month flea collar for adult kittiy but one got it caught on his lower jaw & we had to cut it free. Are there other options for flea and tick prevention that last longer than 1 month? Thank you. Denise
Hi,from few months I'm walking my cat outside but instead of harness and leash I use a cat cloth and tie from a sweatshirt, the vest is from soft thin material, wide enough for him to get out easy from it,he loves it and is much healthier than before, even started walks for up to 3 hours daily, but his skin became itchy and rough especially on the place that the ties are tide up,he started to scratch a lot causing almost bald spot, how can I stop the itch and soften his skin or prevent it somehow?
