I had my cat spayed Saturday i noticed she has licked her incision a little bit i bought a collar but she fought till shw had it kicked off with her back feet do uhave any suggetions
Sore on my cats neck
My cat has just had neck surgery and can't wear an e-collar, because of where the incision was made. Our vet said to us that we need to come up with an alternative. We have put a tuba grip on her, but she is not happy with it.
What's a good ointment for my cat, he has dry skin that's a bit irritated under his neck where his collar was rubbing a bit. Is there a type I can buy at Rite Aid that could help prevent infection that would be safe if he was to accidentally lick the area?
My white short hair cat has a sore area on her neck underneath her chin. It is approx 5cm round, hairless and has a red margin that is weeping slightly. She does not appear to be licking it. She is an indoor cat but escapes occasionally for short periods. We have another indoor cat too.
We have a 19lb large DMH NM 2.5 year old cat who has been excessively licking a spot on his belly for two years. He has been on Prednisolone, Prozac, Reactin, Surolan and several other medications to no avail. He can lick around all 5 cones we have that don't impede his drinking/eating and he likes the taste of bitter spray. Feliway is ineffective. He eats raw food and limited ingredient expensive dry food. He has been to 3 vets with no results. What else can we do?
Just wondering if there's any good brand for cat flea collar that doctors would recommend. Been trying to look over the online, but it seems like they are all the same. Or is there anything else that would cure my cat's itchy neck. Please help and Thanks
My cat has this on his neck. It started as a small scratch and got worse. Was clearing up yesterday and now it’s flared up again.
Hi I have a 2 year old calico who was spayed on Friday 3/22. We have tried all thins from a cone to a suit to keep her from licking her stitches. She freaks out and flips around until the e collar come off. Worried we are doing more harm than good. Also have many scratches...
My indoor only cat overgrooms stomach and elbows. She is on Revolution. She also scratches her neck and head a lot, not enough to cause sores. I've tried 3 months on a limited ingredient diet with no change. She will not eat diets of rabbit, duck or turkey. The higher quality/ more raw foods, she will not touch them. She is now eating Blue buffalo grain free canned and Acana dry. I just started Tummyworks probiotic powder. Any other suggestions for the itch/skin allergy?
My cat has been excessively scratching her neck and she's losing hair, what can I use to help with the itch?
My cat had been scratching beteeen her ears & eyes. Every time I think it’s betting better & scabs over she scratches the scab off and make it bare skin again. I’m thinking about getting a cone to stop her scratching & I have also been bathing it with warm water. Thanks
