Tiny Friends Farm Bathing Sand is essential sand for chinchillas and is also a very nice treat for hamsters, gerbils and degus. We believe that the very best bathing sand should be soft and kind, even for pets with sensitive skin. Our bathing sand is absorbent and promotes a clean, healthy and shiny coat. It is fantastic fun for tiny friends with big personalities!

Allow 2.5cm/1" of Tiny Friends Farm Bathing Sand in a high sided tray. Chinchillas will enjoy a sand bath every day, whilst hamsters, gerbils and degus prefer to bathe two or three times a week. Only allow your pet to bathe for up to 10-20 minutes at a time to help prevent dry skin. Remove soiled sand immediately and change the sand at least once a week.

I am setting up a new habitat for my 2 sibling gerbils. I want it to be as natural of a habitat as their ancestors in the wild live in. Which substrate would you recommend that would be as natural as they would receive in their desert environment?
Currently I am using calcium sand. It doesn’t seem to be effecting Ash at all. Should I continue to use the sand or get something else such as eco earth?
I have a pitbull/bulldog mix that stays outside who is allergic to cedar bedding and pine is there a hypoallergenic bedding for outside animals?
What is the best bedding for my rabbit
My cat poops in the bath tub. I tried 2 litter boxes. I tried keeping water in the bath tub (which made mold). Even with water in the bath tub, she stopped using 2 litter boxes and started dropping her poop right out side the box. People have suggested changing the litter (World's Best). What would be the best litter to use. She is 7 and may have chronic pancreatitis. Thank you.
Is a blanket bedding good for my guinea pigs
My puppy is being treated for a parasite- we are on an extended dose of antibiotics and cortisone. I have a sand pit (and small play pool)- is this a bad idea? Can the sand be doing more harm? We do add coarse salt to the sand to manage worms. Is this safe enough?
Today I’ve noticed my Leopard Geckos right eye has swollen ever so slightly, and has sand in it. The Gecko is EXTREMELY tame, and will let let me wash its eyes but I’m unsure on what I should use? Cotton Bud, Hot Water? Would like to fix this problem before it needs to be done by a vet. I have Desert Sand (Recommended by the shop owner of where I purchased my Gecko.) Should I change to Wood Chip to avoid future problems? Thank you in advance, Daniel.
Is this okay to use for my guinea pig? I'm used to the carefresh with the heart and the animals on the front in the picture, but the mostly blue green one I'm nervous about. I don't want Cosmo getting any reactions. Are they the same brand but different packaging?
Do you have any suggestions for litter box or harness training. Also, can I use pine shavings for their bedding as it is not a red wood?
I just adopted mittens from my local shelter on June 8. When I brought him home he was very scared. Now he has settled in our home. I found out that mittens doesn’t like scented litter and was refusing to use the litter box. So I bought him arm and hammer unscented litter. I put him in the litter box and he sniffed it and jumped out. What should I do now? He has been going potty in the shower, should I put the litter box in the shower?
I just adopted 2 kittens & both are 6 weeks old. When they use their litter box, they tend to use their head to make a deep hole for their poop. They use their paws too but also use their head. I am using a pellet litter and am wondering if that may be too heavy or difficult for them to move. I was using regular litter at first but noticed one of the kittens was trying to eat it.
