This food does not have any fruits listed. Would it still be good for my Shih Tzu's or will they be missing something that they need?
- My shihtzu loves it and her bloodwork has always came back ok. She is 13 so she needs the smaller kibbles.

Can a dog who isn't classified as "small breed" eat this too?
- They really should not. The calcium levels might not be sufficient for a growing puppy or to sustain a large dog. A good brand is Natures variety , orijen , chicken soup for the soul. Some foods specify it's good for all life stages large breeds also. If you dont have the right food for a large breed, they are more prone to hip dysplasia and other related issues.

Best dog food for small not active 10/1/2 yr old Chin
My dog is picky! She won't eat dog food enless she is really hungry. She likes fruit, vegitibles, and chicken. But my family doesn't make a lot of money. And there are 6 people to feed. Is there any dog food she might like for small dogs? Food that isn't expensive? We feed her purina puppy chow now. She is loosing weight! She was 10lb when she was 1. And 9lb when she was 2. I want to get this canned food for my dog as a topper to her dry food. It has shredded chicken along with whole white beans, peas and potatoes. Will she be able to digest this ok because the beans, peas and potatoes are not ground into a pate texture? she's on the dry version of this currently. I also ditched the twelve calorie treats and purchased the smaller 2 calorie treats and I'm only giving her three of those per day. Her total intake of extras is now less than 10% of her diet. :-)
