Dying cat didn’t eat it, healthy cat refuses it.

We have (used to have) 2 cats. Our son’s cat had FIV which recently turned to Feline AIDS. The other cat is perfectly healthy. It got to the point where our son’s cat quit taking in food, which is typical in the end stages. We figured that (along with all the other things that go into Feline AIDS) the amount of plaque on his teeth and the sores in his mouth made eating entirely unbearable for him. So we bought him a packet of Tiki Cat Luau Velvet Mousse in different flavors in hopes that the texture would allow him to take in some sort of energy. To give him a few more days. He wouldn’t eat it. Instead of allowing him to starve to death, my son had him humanely euthanized. The next day, I put the packet of Chicken and Salmon into the surviving cat’s food bowl. She took one sniff and walked away. I mixed some of her regular food in with the Tiki stuff. She walked away again. Our son’s cat was dying so we figured his turning down the Tiki mousse came down to discomfort. Our other cat, however, will get into the trash, she will push the top off the used hamburger grease container, dip her paw into it and lick the grease off (never caught her but have seen the signs). She’ll walk up to her empty food bowl and lick it because it SMELLS like food. But she refuses to have anything to do with Tiki Luau. I can’t recommend it. Not for a dying cat’s last meal, or a healthy cats’s Wednesday evening dinner.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Doesn’t smell bad and my two cats eat it up without even glancing up from the bowl! I like to mix a bit of water to thin it just a bit.

Yes, I recommend this product.
