Tick Removal for Cats too!

I purchased this product yesterday because my orange tabby cat had a tick on its neck area. Of course I searched Amazon, but needed it immediately. I bathed my cat and then my mother helped with the removal of the tick which took only 2 minutes! I killed the tick by soaking it in alcohol. I’m so glad I found this product for 4.99 and it comes with 2 different sizes I used the small one.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I cannot sing it's praises loudly enough! My dog had a tick on his eyelid, so I wasn't going to be able to use any substances like Wondercide or soap like I would if the tick were not located in such a sensitive area. I spent hours trying to remove the tick with tweezers, and (gloved) fingers without success. I know my dog was sick of me. Of course this was a Sunday where my usual vet was closed, and the emergency vet quoted me $150+ (not including all the bloodwork and such they wanted to upsell me). I purchased this product from Petco and was able to quickly and easily dislodge the tick. And I think my dog has even forgiven me ;-).

Yes, I recommend this product.

Best tick removal tool EVER!

I know you're probably thinking "why do I need a silly plastic tool like this?", but, trust me, you do! I have a 1 year old black lab mix who never sits still. When I say never, I mean NEVER! He moves constantly, even in sleep. So, when he got his first tick, I was freaking out because I couldn't remove it with tweezers. He would not stay still. Enter the Zen Pet Tick Tornado and...BAM! That tick was removed, while my dog was moving, and in less than 20 seconds! I got one for the office (we have our dogs there), one for home, and one for my parents! It's a fabulous tool, not too expensive, and it works!

Yes, I recommend this product.

I drove 40 minutes to the nearest Petco to purchase this item and it was definitely worth the drive! This was my first time having a tick on a pet and I was petrified! I was too scared to remove it with tweezers so I shopped around for removal tools. As soon as I starting turning the tool the tick released! This was super easy and painless for my pet! I definitely recommend this item!

My girlfriend and I felt a bump on our dog's ear, but we didn't think anything of it. However, earlier today when we were outside, I decided to look closer, and discovered it was a small tick! I looked online to see what to do, and how to best remove ticks. I felt purchasing the tick tornado would be safest, and most harmless. We removed the tick in less than five minutes, with ease!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions

My dog has gotten into probably 50 or so ticks and they are everywhere even in his ears and he won't let me get them, will this work good for that?

  1. If they are in sensitive areas like his ears, this is something that should be handled by a veterinarian. He may even need to be sedated depending on where, how many, and how he handles the removal. Additionally, he may need wound treatment and other care from the vet because of the ticks and what they can carry. This product works well for removing ticks, but I can't recommend you do anything but go to the vet with the situation that you've described.

I recently had a hard time removing a deer tick nymph with a different tool. Does this tool work on smaller ticks such as nymphs?

  1. The pack comes with two different sizes. The smaller one works well on small ticks!

Will this work inside a dog's ear?

  1. It will work on flap inside. If you think you see any near the canal, I'd see a vet. (My decision on treating pets is always based on..what would I do if this was a 2 yr old child?)

I've read that it's not good to twist the tick to remove it.

  1. Yes, it can. That is how I mostly use it mainly because I forget about the whole twisting part.
