Looks soo well made but my golden doodle didnt change his pulling one bit! The hook was very hard to put together and wrap around the dog! The retractable handle was very big and heavy and the ribbon constantly twisted!! It looked so easy on the you-tube!

This leash does reduce pulling, but does not eliminate it. At least my dog (65 lb shepherd) is still able to pull. Not sure of its effectiveness in a situation where she is highly excited as have not had the opportunity to test it. Absolutely do not like the retractable leash, it is cumbersome, dangerous, & inconvenient. I am not sure why it is not sold as a "harness" without a leash or with a removable leash as it seems it would work with any leash. It is definitely overpriced, it is not worth $50, maybe $25 with a removable leash option.

This leash is genius, it really does stop your dog from pulling and its very durable. Well worth the money.

Gives our girl room to roam and sniff. Gives us piece of mind because it's tough and durable. So glad we found this leash because we were at the end of our rope! Other harnesses (the Gentle Leader rubs her beak raw, Body Collar was okay, London quick leads/slip leads weren't working for long walks) and prong/choke collars tend to leave her bruised because she tugs so hard and this is the only one we have that we can use on a regular basis that doesn't rub her raw. Great because we can easily reel her in when other pooches approach or we're in traffic.

We have had the ThunderLeash Retractable for over a year and use it solely for walking our 75 lbs Golden Retriever. She is very strong and can pull a 250 lbs man over any time she sees a squirrel or rabbit so we needed something for my 130 lbs wife. The leash once properly adjusted and pulled only when needed, works like magic. If one let's the dog start pulling from day one, it won't work. The owner needs to first tell the dog "No Pulling" and if it starts to pull, lock the retraction and give a strong pull stating " No Pulling". It doesn't take too long for your dog to catch on. We now walk three miles every day and while I still need to remind her now and then "No Pulling" we have great walks in spite of all of the squirrels, rabbits and other dogs. Highly recommend.

This is the best retractable leash I've ever owned. Not only does the stop mechanism actually work, the wrap around strap give greater control when my dog pulls.

Reminded of using my plain on waayy cheaper harness and Flexi extend a leash. Short of the fact I have no idea how to tighten the gentle pressure band around my 22lb beagle. Even ordered the small and it was too loose on him. Maybe it works if you can get it adjusted properly but honestly he didn't walk any different than normal. Going back to my harness and Flexi....if I decide to spend a mint on a leash again it will be a Sturdy Dawg
