How big is the cat hole? I have a beautiful plus size cat and want to make sure she has plenty of room to get in and out. Also is there any space left, or just enough room for a litter box?

My cat, Freya, is about 3.5 years old. She has always been confident in our house. Freya always make litter fly out of her litter box. I have a cat who seems to be refusing to use the litter boxes. He is older(over 14). I clean the boxes every other day. We have tried attractants, putting a car mat down, cleaning the boxes themselves, using odor/pheromone 'destroyers', and yet he still peed on the mat. I use the Arm & Hammer clump and seal for litter. What more can I do? Should I remove a couple of the doors on the covered boxes? Should I clean the boxes daily? What can I do?
So along with Jasper, we have two cats. He continuously goes after the kitty litter and eats everything the box contains. The litter box has a cover on it, but he sticks his head through. Hes always supervised but the box is in the porch where he goes to let us know he has to go outside so when he goes out into the porch, he runs for the kitty litter and before we can stop him he's already eaten a bit of it. How do we stop this behaviour?
