My cats won't touch the thing! The material is plastic and not appealing for cat scratching.

My cats haven’t used it yet, but it looks great and the materials seem quite durable. Very easy to put together. It did feel a little light and I was worried my larger cat would tip it when trying to scratch. Instead of purchasing the heavier base I put a couple of 5lb dumbbells in it and it is much more stable. Even though my cats haven’t used it yet I am still giving 5 stars because they will eventually use it...just takes them a little bit to realize it’s for them :)

I think the cat scratcher is lovely, just what I expected, but what I didn't expect was the note if I didn't want it to tip over I could upgrade to a weighted base!!!!!!! For over $100.00, it should have come with an appropriate base.. will not longer purchase from you, this is deception.

My cats LOVE this scratcher...it’s our second one! One of my girls uses them the most. She sits on top or stretches as high as she can while scratching from the floor. Someone is constantly using them. And, I love the look of the scratcher. We give it 5 paws up!

I bought this many years ago when RF first introduced it. My cats loved it! Bought the new one, they won’t touch it. The older one is made of a softer, ropy kind of material. The new one is a hard, plasticky material and they hate it. I kept it hoping they’d get accustomed to it, but no go. Too late to return it, so I’m stuck with it. I just regard it as “art”. In the meantime, the boys keep using the old one. Don’t know why RF changed material, but it’s a big fail.
