This is a good sturdy table that came with everything needed to put it together, including a screwdriver. The pieces are well secured with brackets rather than just screws so there is no hardware showing on the outside. It feels sturdy and the scratching pad is a large area for the cat to use. And it isn’t an eyesore like most other scratching posts. Now if only I could get my furball to use it instead of MY furniture!

Cat's seem to really like it and it looks nice. The reason I only gave it 4 stars was it was kind of a challenge to put together. 12 hinges and 70 ish screws...4 pegs ( 2 that I couldn't get to line up but it is ok without them) good thing I had a power screwdriver.

The wood color is inaccurately described. It is NOT espresso, it is BLACK! Also the surface got deep scratches within the first few days (not to mention that the table arrived with a fingerprint embedded in the laquer). If it wasn't such a hassle to pack it back and exchange for the desired color, I would have done so, but instead I kept the furniture. The design is attractive, but my cats do not seem to love it, almost never sit on top or the bottom... and rarely use to sharpen their nails on it...

I bought this to discourage my cat from scratching my couch. We still have some work to do on that but I love this little side table. With my house being small I need furniture that have multiple purposes and this fits the bill. I am really impressed with the quality of materials The Refined Feline uses in their products.
