My dog ripped two medium sized holes in his self cooling mat (brand is “unleashed”) and I’m sure he digested some of the gel, exactly how much I do not know. They advertise that it is nontoxic, but idk if I should be worried or not?
Will my ShiChon who is 15 long and 11 high fit in a airline soft sided carrier that is 17x11x11? Will she be comfortable as well? I’ve attached a picture of her in it. She climbed in herself.
In about the week I am going on a road trip with Sarah and my dad's to Border Collie mixes one of them is a senior the other is borderline obese. I am currently in Korea (visiting) when I found a dog I adopted (my intention was to adopt a small dog). I am returning to America next week. Shami will have to be in cargo for about 15 hours. I am so worried. We went to the vet and got an all clear and got her a cage (big enough for her). What can I do to make her flight comfortable? I already know to add food, water, pee pads. What else? A cooling mat? Toys? What can I do to put her at ease? I am really worried she won't make it.
My 7 yr old dog has separation anxiety issues. My Veterinarian recommended trying OTC Melatonin 3mg. Can someone recommend a particular brand of OTC Melatonin to purchase? I'm afraid Xylitol made be an ingredient that is not disclosed on the package. I contacted Natures Made. I was told No Xylitol in the Melatonin.

I'm planning to travel with both dogs. Sharpei is registered as ESA. I have a small crate for my maltipoo. Anything I can do to ease their flight experience and get them ready besides calming supplements? Boo has a habit of drooling and his gums turning pale when he's in a crate. How can I prevent that? This is their first time flying . (I already have calming supplements) also, how many hours before the flight should I give the water and food? It should I wait afterwards.
I want to crate train my 1 year old dog. I bought a "medium" crate for her , shes 25 lbs - aussie/dashund mix so shes kind of long shaped. The measurments on the box are for a dog even taller/wider than mine... but the crate doesnt really seem big enough for her to turn around in (unless she kind of squirmed up into a circle). Do you think I need to buy a larger crate? Why does the size on the box say its good for the dog's size.. / ?

I have a dog house with carpet over front entrance and a heated pet pad I bought from a hardware store. It seems warm and the 8 month old beagle goes in it but how cold is to cold for a four hour length outside while I work? He seems happy and the pad feels warm when I test it.
So my dog keeps peeing in her kennel. I have started making more frequent potty breaks and that has helped some. But she still has accidents about twice a week. So I have thought about getting her a smaller kennel. She is in a 42’’ wire kennel. She can lay in a ball in the corner of it and not take up much room. She is too tall for a smaller kennel. What should I do? Also she had had all her bloodwork done and nothing is wrong. She is 30’’ tall and 30’’ long.
