Puppies begin to eat solid foods around 4-6 weeks. After weaning, use the feeding guidelines noted on the packaging as an initial recommendation and adjust food amount as needed to reach desired weight. Your puppy's needs may vary with age, size, breed and activity level. Always provide access to clean, fresh water. If transitioning from another food, add a little Clusters to your puppy's current food each day over the course of 5-7 days while decreasing the amount of current food. Active Puppies: Feed as much or as often as needed to maintain ideal body weight. Food may need to increase up to 1 1/2 times the amount listed above. Gestation/lactation: Feed enough to maintain ideal body weight, food may need to increase 2 to 4 times the amount listed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My puppy loves this food. We can even use it for training treats. She has tried a few different natural puppy foods but this is the clear winner. We feed her this food mixed with her old food for her main meal, and then make the dehydrated “stew” on a lick mat to extend meal time and keep her busy longer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ingredients on this food are great and my 3m old Lab love it. We do training with the kibble and sadly this kibble do not keep it together. You end up with more dust in the bag than form kibble, making it impossible to use it for training or enrichments.

Puppy Loves This

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I picked up my puppy from the breeder, he was eating commercial kibble. I wanted to find a healthier way to feed my puppy, so my vet recommended this product. The puppy loves it. The transition to this new food went very smoothly with no problems. In fact, while the food was mixed during the transition, he purposely ate the Honest Kitchen kibble first! I feel better that he is eating healthier food. The vet says he is doing very well. I like that Honest Kitchen has a kibble product available that has healthy ingredients and is made by a healthier process to preserve the nutrients. Perfect for my puppy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our dog, Piper LOVES this kibble. Prior to switching to Honest Kitchen, we used Hill Science Diet and Purina, both extremely highly rated mainstream brands. . . and she would barely eat them! Once we switched to Honest Kitchen, she started gobbling up her food and was finally loving it!!!! Thank you, Honest Kitchen!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My puppy starts dancing when she hears me getting her meal ready. I'm surprised how good it smells compared to other dog food we've used.

Great Puppy Food

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our puppy had soft stools for months. We took her to our vet multiple times. No infection, parasites or foreign objects were found. We changed her food many times and even fed her prescription diet dog food and probiotics. But with each new food, she still had soft stools. Then we introduced her to Honest Kitchen Whole Grain Chicken Clusters for Puppies. Not only did our puppy love the clusters, but after we completely weaned her onto this new food, her stools were perfect! Thank you Honest Kitchen!

Questions

how long can it sit out without causing problems

  1. I would feed this food and any other within the company’s freshness expiration date. NEVER feed old rancid food to any animal. As with humans, you can cause GI problems. With dogs and horses rancid food can be a contributor to bloat/colic.  If you don’t know the expiry date, pick up your phone and call the company with the lot number of the food.  If you suspect the food is bad, use common sense and throw it out just like you would for yourself.

How many cups come in 20 lb bag?

  1. Hello! Thanks for reaching out. There are about 84 cups in each 20-pound bag of clusters. I hope this helps!
