Hi I currently shop on Chewy.com for all my pet needs, they’re great by the way!! I’m really searching for a different flavor royal canine wet dog food and royal canine doesn’t have much of a selection. So I also saw broth bowls food topper. 9 1/2 month old dog, loose stool for over 2 weeks. Fecal sample negative. Did 10 days of Metronidozole plus only chicken and rice. No improvement. Course of panacur, then switched for boiled beef and rice. Perfect poop for 3 days. Introduced 1/4 cup kibble and went right back to mush then mushy/liquidy. Could it be the brand of food (the 1/4 cup introduced was beef, grain free Merrick, since hedid well on the boiled beef. Vet is not helping. Any Suggestions?
I have a 5 year old, 75lb Catahoula leopard mix. He doesn't seem to like any dog food. Ever since he had a liver issue a year ago, he's been weird with eating. Before he would gulp his food down. He also seems to have a sensitive stomach now. I've tried merrick LI with goats milk and crumpled treats on top. It worked at first very well but now he doesn't want it. I've tried a different, more palatable, Elm in 3 flavors-lamb duck and salmon. Doesn't want any of them. Warm water doesn't work ether
Eats core wellness grain free ocean formula because of unknown allergy (licks her paws all the time). Finished a 26 lbs bag already but zero difference. Also taking vetriscience derma strength for few months now. Prefer supplements (chews) that med (Benadryl). There's lawsuit (July 2017) against wellness food (arsenic & lead), should I switch to other brand?if so, which one please? Thanks.
Hey! My dog ate some food that was left out for maybe 7 hours accidentally. Stella and Chewy’s ‘Meal Mixers’, chicken based freeze dried raw — if you add water, it says to consume within 2 hours. Our dog seems fine but we’re a little worried. Any ideas? She is a 5 year old Havanese about, ive attaches photos. Thanks!
What is the best food to feed a 55-pound highly active hound? I was told to switch to grain free, but her stool has been mucous like and runny. I've tried Redford Naturals Limited Ingredient (I've tried chicken, beef, sweet potato) and American Journey Limited ingredient (lamb). Just looking to find the best dog food for a very active hound that won't break the bank. Also, I'm concerned with all this news of heart problems linked with specific foods.
Hi & thanks for being available! Both my 11 year old dogs (littermates) have had cancer at age 10 & since then, I've been feeding them 1/2 Halo Lamb & making Dog Cancer Survival Diet from that book for the other half. I eat fish & sometimes get whole fish. Can I feed the head, skin, tail, eyes (shudder), etc from fish to the dogs? Should I feed it 1) raw pureed in a Vitamix, 2) cooked in water & then pureed or 3) just the broth made from it... wondering what might be best.
My dog has been on a homemade diet after being diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease. I have been giving high quality lean protein with white rice & squash along with supplements-Hawthorne berry, CoQ10, ipakitine & vitamin b12. Now that I've reduced the protein even more in his meals, he doesn't seem as interested in eating as he was. Can I add chicken broth? Homemade with just dark chicken meat - no bones as I know they are high in phosphorus or will this addition be too high in protein?
