My Dog Lives The Stews!

Catherine W.

My girl is a chihuahua Jack Russell mix, more Jack than Chihuahua, she goes crazy at meal time, jumping up and down, bouncing off the cabinets like a pinball and barking up a storm, she loves her stews.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its o. k. More gravy then meat. Best to use it as an addition to a healthy diet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this food for my dog’s frozen enrichment games and he looks like he enjoys it! The protein is a bit more runny than the turkey though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 2 older dogs who need lower protein food. I found the Honest Kitchen stews that fit the bill, and the dogs are crazy about it. Even after they've cleaned the bowl they continue licking it for minutes after. :-) It's so good to know they're getting great nutrition and are happy about it.

Pretty good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our dog is still adjusting to this food, but we’re hopeful that with time and consistency, it will become a staple in his routine. He’s always been a bit of a picky eater, especially after a recent period of digestive upset, so we’ve been cautious and intentional about introducing anything new. Right now, we’re adding about a tablespoon to each meal alongside foods he already likes, such as plain chicken, sweet potato, or a little broth. So far, that combination is working well—he won’t eat this food on its own yet, but he will eat around it less than he used to, and sometimes surprises us by finishing the bowl. What drew us to this product is the quality. It’s a much healthier alternative to most commercial kibble, and we feel good knowing we’re offering him real, recognizable ingredients instead of highly processed fillers. The texture and smell are closer to real food than typical dry kibble, which we think will help him accept it more easily over time. We also like that it’s easy to measure out and incorporate into other foods, which makes the transition more manageable for him and for us. We’ve tried other premium options, including stews and gently cooked recipes, but this is one of the few products that feels nutritionally solid without being overwhelming or too rich for his stomach. He tends to do best with food that’s mild but still nourishing, and this formula strikes that balance nicely. We’ll continue to monitor how he does with it, but so far it’s been a helpful bridge between bland recovery foods and a more balanced, long-term diet. We’re rooting for this one to be a success.

Great for my dog. She enjoys and is easy to feed her now since she is missing few teeth.

Yorkie

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The stew looks like vomit. My Yorkie refuses to eat it. It needs to be less runny and more chunky. Now I'm stuck with 5 1/2 boxes.
