I am getting an 8 week Cocker Spaniel. I am not new to Cocker Spaniel, just puppy versions. I want to try a new food for her, and need suggestions. My 10 yr old lab lost 6 lbs when taken off dry food. He gets homecooked. Alternating between lean ground beef, turkey, white meat chicken. Veggies Sweet potatoes, yellow squash, green beans. He was a perfect weight. Elimating 1 cup of dry food per day added to homecooked was meant to be a healthy choice not for weight loss. Vet wants him to put the weight back. What can I add in, read that organic brown rice and Quinoa is not good daily and high in Phosphorus. Suggestions thx
Hey! My dog ate some food that was left out for maybe 7 hours accidentally. Stella and Chewyโs โMeal Mixersโ, chicken based freeze dried raw โ if you add water, it says to consume within 2 hours. Hi, I need of advice for my 3 yr old dog. Before I moved she ate Purina Dog Chow Tender & Crunchy. When I moved across the country she stayed back home with my boss eating Natural Balance duck and potato. Now that I've moved her with me she hasn't been eating kibble. This includes Rachael Ray's brand, natural balance, etc. She did eat a little wet food but I'm not sure if it's a good option. Should I should feed her strictly wet food or just cook (rice, Turkey, liver, eggs, veggies, etc)??
I have decided to prepare Nala's food at home as opposed to store bought dog food. What would I need to add to a recipe containing following: Beef Liver 3lbs Lamb Hearts 2lbs Beef Tripe 1lb Ground Chicken 5 lbs Water - as need to incorporate beef stew bones 3lbs Brussel Sprouts .5 lb Butternut Squash 1lb Pink Himalayan Salt- 1 tbl I did cook all of this, although I know that raw is better, and then ground it all together.
What the best dry dog for food match my dog
9 1/2 month old dog, loose stool for over 2 weeks. Fecal sample negative. Did 10 days of Metronidozole plus only chicken and rice. No improvement. Course of panacur, then switched for boiled beef and rice. Perfect poop for 3 days. Introduced 1/4 cup kibble and went right back to mush then mushy/liquidy. Could it be the brand of food (the 1/4 cup introduced was beef, grain free Merrick, since hedid well on the boiled beef. Vet is not helping. Any Suggestions?
