Healthy stools!

piper022024

My dog's stools have consistently been healthy looking, especially after transitioning her off of a bland diet after having chronic diarrhea. She is currently on a weight gain journey, and she is safely gaining 1/2 - 1 pound bodyweight weekly from this food. Only thing I noticed is her stool is more bulky and she's been pooping 2-3 times per day when I'm used to her pooping 1-2 times per day. Otherwise, I'm happy with this food and will continue feeding to my dog!

Yes, I recommend this product.

We're pleased to know the food has supported consistent digestive balance during your dog’s transition from a limited diet and has contributed positively to her weight gain journey.

Seems like wholesome food; dogs are unsure still

My dogs are used to eating small dog kibble but they are getting older and have less teeth than they used to (even though they mostly swallow the kibble; not chew it). Typical wet dog food gives them bad poop, so I thought I'd try this food to see if their bodies would respond better while still giving them a non-kibble food that would be more comfortable for their mouths. The food seems wholesome but my dogs are finicky about it - sometimes seem excited to eat it but most days will smell it and walk away. I've been slowly introducing it, mixing it with their regular kibble so I'd say we're still on the fence about it. But, there's been no change to their poops (which is a good start) and it does seem like a high-quality food choice, even if my dogs don't end up taking to it. One gripe: I wish the bag was a sliding zip-lock closure vs the press closure - it's a large interior bag and it doesn't always close well.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great at soothing upset stomachs

I have only used this an occasional topper when my dog's stomach was upset, but wow! It has worked wonders when he has an upset tummy. He has a sensitive stomach and is also constantly getting into things he shouldn't (like nibbling wood on walks and we don't realize til he's half chewed through the stick, which results in the occasional upset stomach day. We've tried so many things, and when he is having a bad day (whether because he ate part of a weird stick or because of his sensitivities), he will turn his nose up at even his most favorite treats. He inhales this though, and afterwards his stools become solid again because it helps him pass whatever weird leaf he ate or it calms his sensitive stomach. He has unknown allergies, and we use this for bad allergy days as well, and it seems to calm down his hives. We are considering using it as a more frequent topper just because of how well it works when he is feeling sick.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions

1 - 2 of 2 Questions

Can I use this as a food topper on my dog’s kibble?

  1. Most definitely! I've been feeding this to my 2 Boston's for almost ten years now and they have no more skin issues! I completely trust this company. I also use the Honest Kitchen kibble for a topper with my girls.

Is this dog food hypoallergenic

  1. Hi there! Unfortunately, no food can truly be hypoallergenic. Just like humans, each dog can have different sensitivities to different ingredients. So while any food may be hypoallergenic for one dog, it won't be the case for every dog. Due to our minimal processing techniques and our high standards, our recipes are much less likely to contribute to sensitivities like a heavily processed food with fillers would be. It's just that each dog is different, so we can't claim that no dogs will have any issues. I hope this clears things up!
