Our In-Pond Skimmer is designed to remove debris from the water's surface before it sinks, acting as a pre-filter and helping protect your pump from clogging. Water and debris are drawn into the skimmer, and debris collects inside. Water is drawn into the pump, then discharged to an external filter or waterfall. Our In-Pond Skimmer is compatible with Pond Water Garden Pumps and Waterfall Filter. Use with large flexible or pre-formed ponds that are 500 to 1,000 gallons. In-Pond Skimmer is easy to install and clean and comes with complete instructions for setup. The skimmer should be installed on a pond shelf or on blocks - built with four corner pockets that can be filled with sand or gravel to prevent the skimmer from floating. Contains a basket to collect large debris and a filter pad that collects smaller particles (replacement pads sold separately).

I have my 1-year-old goldfish in a 5-gallon tank. I do frequent water changes and he has a filer and an air bubble thing. I plan on taking him to my grandfather's outdoor koi/goldfish pond when he outgrows his tank. His fish are really big.Is it safe for me to transfer him to this?Even if he doesn't outgrow it soon in a year and a half I will be moving and he will have to go there anyway. Is there any tips to help him transfer easily? My room is quite warm. Should I do it when weather is warm?
