Tetra Pond Algae Control is formulated to effectively control algae blooms (green water), string and hair algae (spirogyra) and blanket weed (oedosonium) in fountains and ornamental ponds with synthetic liners. When used as directed, Tetra Pond Algae Control can be used with plants and ornamental fish. Before using this product, dislodge string algae off stones with a high-pressure hose nozzle and scoop out with a fish net or pond vacuum. Ensure your pond is well aerated. See the product label for complete directions for treatment. Algae are primitive plants that, via photosynthesis, combine water and carbon dioxide to form sugars for energy and growth. Algae can obscure colorful fish and deplete valuable oxygen. No pond is ever totally free of algae, but in a balanced environment and with the right treatment methods, algae can be kept in check.

How often should I put Tetra dechlorinator into my 2.2 gallon fish tank with three guppies in it? I know the amount, I just need the best time in between please. Thank you!
Is it safe to buy a UV Sterilizer Green killer filter for my turtles? The water gets dirty really fast and I've pretty much tried everything, but the algae keeps growing fast. The problem is that I've seen a lot of negative reviews on that filter, saying that it got their fish killed. Now, I've done some research on that and found out that that UV lights could damage both animals and humans, however the very few reviews that were written by turtle owners were positive. Is it totally safe?
My goldfish has popeye and I have been treating it with Kanaplex. I have given my fish 3 doses of kanaplex and I don’t see him getting any better. The container said to add only up to 3 doses. Can I add more doses of kanaplex to continue treating my goldfish?

I have recently used medication in my 50 gal freshwater fish tank with one 22 year old comet goldfish in it . the meds cured my fish but must have killed my beneficial Bacteria as now my established tank has been going through another nitrogen cycle. It's been four weeks now the ammonia us back to zero so is nitrite zero BUT my nitrates are now spiked about 80 and the water is cloudy. Did 2 partial water changes over the last 8 days. Trying to treat betta for Popeye otherwise healthy happy and active. Moved from five to three gallon filtered heated tanks. Feed freeze dried blood worms, daphnia and bug bites by fluval. Also am changing some if not all water every few days. Treated with kanaplex several doses no real improvement. Switzed to metroplex in water treatment as I don't know how food treatment works or how to dose started four doses two days apart and there is some improvement to the eyes. Med is miconidazole.
Concerned about what possible skin diseases?? Some of my fish possibly may have. Is it a possibility that some just algae on them. I recently treated the tank with copper sulfate because I believed that fish may have velvet.. however two days later; the tank seems to have more algae in it and the fish don’t seem any better in appearance. I don’t know if they had velvet but thought using that treatment would’ve helped in this situation. But it didn’t so want to know that they have.
How to get remove all planaria worms (crawling our aquarium glass in a tiny size )from freshwater tank ?
