I have tried all brands for 40 plus years but tetra is the one I keep going back to. If you don't overfeed it's amazing. Stays fresh. My tetras adore it so do sma ll cichlids and red tail shark. Tetra is improving quality Over the years. Will always ❤️ it for my many tanks.

I use TetraMin Tropical Flakes as main diet for my platies, mollies, and neon tetras. The fish love this food. I tried several different brands, and they did not like any of them as much as they like these flakes.

My tropical fish love it!

The TetraMin Tropical Flakes is the only flakes my tropical fish love. As soon as I drop these flakes in the tank, it's always eaten in seconds. I like that the flakes remain intact and they don't cloud the water. These flakes are nutritious and keep my fish happy and healthy. I was pleasantly surprised to see how large the bottle is. It's a great value and it will definitely last a long time, depending on how many fish you have. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this product and highly recommend it!

I have purchased these for quite a few years for my fish and they have been so beneficial. They are a great size for the fish and have a very easy container that keeps them fresh. Very accommodating size to last for a long time for my fish.

Would the fish flakes go bad if they weren't used in a while?

  1. Thank you for your interest in this product Tub2! All of our foods have a shelf life of 3 years. They do not go "bad" after this time, they just gradually lose their nutritional value.

packaging

  1. Thank you for your question. The 4.52 Tetramin Tropical Flake is packaged in a plastic bucket.

Do Cory Catfish eat these flakes?

  1. yes

can you feed tetramin tropical flakes to clown fish

  1. Well the old "yes and no" is probably not what you needed. Yes, in a 'pinch" you could, or as a treat. But a true Marine flake is a better choice (assuming your :clown fish" is the salt water one I'm thinking of). The problem is several fish use the word "clown" in their common name

When will Tetramin Flake food go on sale again? I use 4.5 lbs every month and a half!

  1. I put the amount I am feeding and break up the food. I have 5 tanks with fish and I feed small amounts twice a day. The 2.20 lbs. last me a at least 9 months. I have big fish in my tanks like Silver Dollars.

Flake fish food

  1. Yes they do just look at the bottom of the container for the date.

its it normol that the angelfish throw the food out

  1. Yes, and no ... If it happens often, it might mean that they are full and you are overfeeding. It might also be a sign of disease or stress and I'd recommend a few major water changes to see if the behavior changes
