Questions
We bought this but what is supposed to be used with it? It doesn’t say anything about needing additional stuff to work. However the instructions show at least 3 other parts needed to use this????
- DID YOU MEAN THE TUBINGS AND IF DESIRED YOU CAN USE SOME ACCESSORIES. BUT OTHERWISE IT COMES IN ONE WHOLE CONNECTED PUMP. OR SOMETIMES IT COMES WITH A CHECK VALVE WHICH MAYBE DROPPED OUT OF THE BOX OR IT WASNT THGERE ANYMORE WHEN YOU PURCHASE IT. THATS ALL I CAN THINK OF THAT WOULD BE CONSIDERED A PART OF THIS PUMP

how many watts to run the tetra 40 size air pump
- I have two of these pumps operating on normal US house current for my 20 gallon tank. They work fine. I don't know how many watts they use, but they have not caused any problems with the electricity. I haven't had any blown fuses or any other problem. The pumps work fine. I've had them for over 3 years.

Could I use the inlet port to pull a vacuum? If so is a mechanical connection feasible and what sort of suction might I expect? Would this "blocked" flow condition harm the motor?
- We thank you for your question. There is no inlet port. There is only a port on the outlet.

is it ok if I use a 40 gallon air pump for my 20 gallon tank?
- Yes, of course. What size you use will depend on the size of the stone or wand, how many you have, and so forth. You might want to add a gang valve so you can adjust the flow rate independently.
