[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All in all I think it’s a good solid option for plecos. The packaging is eye catching and the price is not bad. My fish wouldn’t be eat it every time but he’s also picky so he gave it “3 blubs”.

My Pleco Loves his Wafers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are a great choice for my Pleco. They provide him with the right nutrition he needs. When I first tried them out I put a whole wafer into my tank and it sank straight to the bottom however once my Pleco got a taste of it, he loved it! The only issue I found was that the water does cloud up easily and will dirty the tank quickly. I have a small baby pleco and a 1.5 gallon tank so it's best to break into pieces for the him while he's still small so he can actually finish all of the food, also it will prevent the water from turning cloudy. I've been doing this everyday and my little Pleco loves it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very cool food for the algae eaters in my aquarium. They eat the stuff from the sides of the tank but I love knowing they are getting a good diet with these! Easy and not messy at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My algae-eating fish and snails love this food! It's a nice sized package that will last a good while. It sinks to the bottom and makes it easy for them to eat it. Would purchase again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Shortly after getting this sample my algae eater passed away. I question the effectiveness and the sustainability of this product. I would say. That this is not worth the money. However the packaging and the ingredients are easy to read.

I have a tank with 6 corys. How many of these wafers should I be giving them daily?

  1. Depends on the size of the fish, and if there are other bottom feeders . Small corys maybe 1 break it up if possible. This way you won't have leftovers to mess up the balance of the tank. You could feed more if you feed less often .

It did dye the water and changed the color bluish-greenish. I add two a day. Is it too much for a ten gallon of 1 pleco 4 Dalmatian tank.

  1. You should only put what your pleco will eat right away. A 10 gallon tank is way to small for a pleco if you want him to grow big. I have 2 plecos in a 70 gallon tank. They both are 24 inches long and 8 inches in circumference. The Tetra wafers are ok for your pleco. I have never had my water change color, you may have gotton a bad bag. The pleco will also like Tetra shrimp wafers & Hikari sinking wafers. Hikari algae wafers are top of the line food for plecos. If your pleco is not eating what you put in, use less or 1 wafer. Remember the bigger the tank the bigger the fish. Also don't crowed the tank with other fish. They don't like that. Good luck. Dan

what's a Pleco?

  1. it is a Plecostomus
