Hello! My pet male betta, Mr. Bubbles is rather small and doesn't seem to be getting any bigger. He also tends to stay under my plant in his bowl and tends to float to the top quite a bit. He's healthy otherwise. He's a picky eater too. I'm feeding him Bette Bits and freeze dried blood worms. Sometimes he doesn't even eat it or eats it then blows the pellet out. I've had him for close to 6 months.
I just got a baby betta fish the other day and I have these little fish food pellets. I wanna know how many times I need to feed him and how many pellets should I give him?
Hi, I'm planning on getting a betta fish and I'm wondering what foods are best for it
My Betta fish keeps spitting out its food. I feed it "XL color granules" mixed with "color flakes" its tank mate is a molly. I heard you can get bloodworms and soak them in garlic guard and they will eat it. Is this true? Thank you. -Cristina
He's a full grown betta fish, I've had him for a little over half a year, adopted him from a friend. He has a filter and a heater in his tank & I try to stick with recommended products. As of the last couple months, his fins are curling up in the back and he will only eat one pellet every other day or so. I had been feeding him three pellets twice daily. Last week I started cleaning his 1 gallon tank twice a week instead of once a week, and am considering upgrading to a 2.5 gallon tank instead.
I have a beta fish I have had for 5 years. The past month he has been laying in his tree just below the surface for long periods of time. He eats Top fin food pellets and he has attempted a few times to reach them but then gives up. I'm afraid he's not eating. Please advise. Thank you
I have a male beta fish that will not eat (or at least I haven’t seen him eat). I got him 5 days ago. He’s in a 1 gallon bowl. I got him the recommended beta pellets but he can’t seem to get them to stay down. He gets excited when I feed him but when he goes for the pellet, he holds it in between his lips then spits it out. The pellets end up sinking after a while and that’s when he grazes the bottom. I think that’s how he’s getting his food but i’m not 100% sure. How can I get him to eat?
My betta fish is not eating and we are noticing a change in he color. We feed her Aqueon Betta Food and she ate it for her first month but now she will put the food and either chew it up and spit out the food, or she will spit it out whole. We know that it takes two weeks for bettas to stave to death but we don’t know what is wrong. we removed the rocks from the bottom of the tank so she could eat the food off the floor of the tank if she got hungry. Below i’ll attach a before and after photo.
Hello My male betta fish's name is Aries. He was introduced to his 1 gallon bowl 3 days ago from a pet store. He is really active and a god jumper and swimmer. He seems really healthy than I thought he would be considering the bowl size. But I when I fed him Betta granules he doesn't not eat it. I tried soaking it and he still doesn't eat it. He swims toward the food and looks at it and smells it? and swims away. At first I thought it would be because he's new and maybe stressed out. Pls help.
Best foods for 29gallon tank with 4Rosaline Sharks, 4Congo Tetras, 1large bushy nosed plecostamus. Vitamins?
Smoke (adult betta) hasn't tried to eat in 7 days. He swims okay, looks okay ... isn't interested in pellets (that he ate happily for a year), pellets that float, bloodworm, daphnia, and flakes — all of which I've tried. Peas he lets float to the bottom. How do I get him to eat if he ignores all food dropped or floated in his tank?
Trying to treat betta for Popeye otherwise healthy happy and active. Moved from five to three gallon filtered heated tanks. Feed freeze dried blood worms, daphnia and bug bites by fluval. Also am changing some if not all water every few days. Treated with kanaplex several doses no real improvement. Switzed to metroplex in water treatment as I don't know how food treatment works or how to dose started four doses two days apart and there is some improvement to the eyes. Med is miconidazole.
