Hello i have a fish tank 45l with 11 fishes in it (Shubunkin , opaline gourami , honey gourami , trichogaster etc) . i added the fish a week ago and tested the water and it was fine.today i see that 2 of my Scalars aren't eating like everyone else , so i tested the water . Everything was fine except for Nitrite levels that was 3.0 - 5.0 ppm. I changed 25 % of the water and added Easy Life Filter Medium and after some hours i tested again the water quality and it was the same I also added salt
I believe my 50 lbs. 1yr. old bulldog has a u.t.i. due to long use of predinisone. Anyway, I just received ph test strips. What range would let me know if it is u.t.i.? The strips ph range are 5.5-8.0, There were no other instructions in the pack.
hi I bought the imagitarium fresh water uv purified water for my betta,s. Is this good water for them and does it have the nutrients they need? thank you
Hi, We just did the Petnostics test for our dog Stella and below you will find the results. My concern is sometimes the amount of water she consumes. She can easily drink entire bowl quick. I have recently used medication in my 50 gal freshwater fish tank with one 22 year old comet goldfish in it . the meds cured my fish but must have killed my beneficial Bacteria as now my established tank has been going through another nitrogen cycle. It's been four weeks now the ammonia us back to zero so is nitrite zero BUT my nitrates are now spiked about 80 and the water is cloudy. Did 2 partial water changes over the last 8 days. Will a UV sterilizer help ?? Please advise. Thanks Lina
Hello, I have a betta and I'm sure he has moderate fin rot. Thing is I have him in a 1.1 bowl because I broke my bigger 2.5 gal tank. Ive been doing water changes and recently bought aquarium salt, bettafix, and Tail and Body Cure from API but I'm not sure how to use it in such a small tank w/o a heater... I know its such a bad environment but its not for long. I just need my betta to last a weak till I get a decent tank. Could you please give me a suggestion. I greatly appreciate your time.
I have 2 salmenese tiger fish and two smaller fish in approximately 3.5 L bowl. I bought them on 1 April. 3 act normal but one act abnormal from first day. One salmenese tiger fish doesn't move much first it stayed at bottom now it's gapping at surface and if I try to catch to check it it goes down again. It's fins are turning red or I don't know if it already was. I don't understand how to help. Parents are out town so I can't go to shop. I am not sure if all are eating food.
I was having 6 fishes in which 2 were small silver gold fishes,2 Angle fishes and 2 gold fishes. The both silver gold fishes died as well as one angle fish. I don't know why they all keep dying as I have provided them with good water, filter, and food.
My betta is a baby boy (4monthold) When I first got him he was red with white. 2 months ago his growing fins began becoming blue. Abt 3 weeks ago I see that he began losing his color a bit& began becoming kind of transparent, so I took the water to get checked& the water was good but the store couldnt check for ammonia cause they had ran out of that test(water has conditioner). Last night I notice that he started getting a shiny silver color on 1side of mouth& in gill. But he is acting normal
