Description
The terminal male Yellow-Flanked Fairy Wrasse has breathtaking colorations, hardiness and high activity levels, making them very desirable in aquariums. This peaceful fish can be added to just about any aquariums since they are not known to eat or damage corals. Yellow-Flanked Wrasses can mix well with others as long as they are females (most at medium size or smaller will be) and introduced at the same time to the aquarium. For continued health, give a varied diet of small meaty foods. Feeding them multiple times a day is recommended since they are very active. They have a small adult size of 3" which is another reason why they are so desirable. Beware: They are jumpers, so a covered aquarium is necessary. The Yellow-Flanked Fairy Wrasse is found in the Western Pacific within coral reefs up to 40 meters deep.
