Questions
I want to switch my dogs food from taste of the wild bison to the fowl version. Since this is the same brand, do I still have to slowly introduce the fowl version into my dog’s current food or just make the switch?
- To switch dog food flavors within the same brand, use a gradual 7-10 day transition by mixing increasing amounts of the new food with decreasing amounts of the old, starting with a 75% old/25% new ratio. Monitor your dog for any signs of digestive upset like loose stools or reduced appetite. If issues arise, slow down the transition process or consult a veterinarian

I have Female 3.5 yr old American Bully/American Pit bull Terrier Mix is overweight 68 lbs Vet says should be 10 lbs lighter in body weight she's on Blue Buffalo Grain Free for 3 months she joined our family from local animal Will this help weight loss?
- Hello, thanks for contacting us. While our Wetlands Canine Recipe is suited for dogs of all body conditions it is not formulated specifically for weight loss. If your dog isn't as active as they once were, we recommend our Sierra Mountain Canine Recipe because of the lower calorie, protein, and fat content compared to our other recipes. You can learn more about this recipe on our website: https://totw.pet/sierra-mountain. Additionally, we recommend that you continue to work with your vet to find the best food for your dog.

I have a beautiful 1 1/2 yr old Gordon Setter. He is currently on Pacific Stream kibble and loves it. I want to try him on this as fowl (grouse/quail/pheasant) would essentially be what he hunts. Which flavor has a higher meat content? Thx

Can my 3 month old australian cattle dog eat taste of the wild wetlans dry dog food?
- Hello and thanks for your interest in TOTW! Wetlands Canine was designed as a maintenance recipe for adult dogs and would not be a suitable option for a puppy. As a general guide, we recommend transitioning puppies to adult food at about 10–12 months of age. In the meantime, we recommend continuing on a puppy-specific or all life stages recipe. Please note, our puppy formulas were formulated as all life stages recipes, meaning they meet the nutritional needs of dogs at all ages, from puppy to senior. These recipes include specific nutrients, like added DHA that aids in brain and eye development, to help your puppy grow to their full potential. Our all life stages recipes include: Pacific Stream Puppy, High Prairie Puppy, Pine Forest Canine, Southwest Canyon Canine, and Sierra Mountain Canine. If you have any questions or would like a recipe recommendation, please contact us by visiting our website https://www.tasteofthewildpetfood.com/#contact-us.
